I don't think so. Just try to make it into polysynth or Note MOD. It is impossible to set keytracking accurately. In Bitwig 2.0 the same situation.shaboogen wrote:I can't wait for the key-tracking modulator to meet Pro-Q2 and essentially turn it into Surfer EQ2, sans ilok garbage.

Hmm, trying this now with a Note Mod. Sadly, you are correct (in Bitwig 1 anyway)mrfrenkie wrote:I don't think so. Just try to make it into polysynth or Note MOD. Can Dom or anyone at Bitwig shed some light on how key tracking works? Is there anyway to output pitch as a 1:1 relative to something being modulated?
Thanks

A "simple" midi modulation matrix (modulation) device would be nice for this. It should support Notes and CC as Input. You have up to 128 steps (0-127) where you can map the note or cc value. This way you could map each value to individual parameters and/or parameter values. A glide option would be nice which could than interpolate from one value to the next of a given parameter in the specified glide time. This would be awesome.

In general it would be great to be not only able how much modulation should be applied to a given parameter but also when. The macro knobs for example map always the full range to the mapped parameter to modulate it than in the defined range. If we would be able to specify a start and end of modulation on the macro knob to we could do pretty complex stuf. Novation does something like this on the circuit for example.

It works fine with bws' eqs and filters (mod amount +12).shaboogen wrote:Hmm, trying this now with a Note Mod. Sadly, you are correct (in Bitwig 1 anyway)mrfrenkie wrote:I don't think so. You can set start and amount already?FunkEater wrote:The macro knobs for example map always the full range to the mapped parameter to modulate it than in the defined range.
Glide is already in the step mod, set it to one step, modulate the step, adjust speed.FunkEater wrote:A glide option would be nice which could than interpolate from one value to the next of a given parameter in the specified glide time. This would be awesome.

Perfect! Just tried it.Tearing Riots wrote: It works fine with bws' eqs and filters (mod amount +12).
Start and amount of the parameter I want to modulate, yes. But I want to define start position for my macro knob. Say from 0-25% modulate filter frequency, from 0-50% modulate delay rate and the whole range modulates reverb dry/wet. And for each modulated parameter I can set start and amount as it is now.Tearing Riots wrote: You can set start and amount already?
Did not manage to get the expected result. But maybe I just did not understand how to set it up.Tearing Riots wrote: Glide is already in the step mod, set it to one step, modulate the step, adjust speed.

So where is the right click menu for midi notes if right click does delete now?

This can also be done, with a workaround. You need an extra set of macros for multiplication, offset is possible too:FunkEater wrote: Start and amount of the parameter I want to modulate, yes. Here´s a preset
Maybe it does not exactly what you expect, the speed knob sets the maximum frequency for modulation like this:FunkEater wrote:Did not manage to get the expected result. Love what's coming.
Still desperately waiting for a freeze function
any hope Dom?

I'm guessing, but I would imagine it appears when you're not over a note. One would hope.aMUSEd wrote:So where is the right click menu for midi notes if right click does delete now?

It depends on the tool basically. Generally a right click in an empty field in the piano roll gives you a small window to select a tool from.
If you got the pointer tool selected and right click on a note, the usual big right click menu appears.
If you got the pen tool selected and right click hover a note, then the part you hover will be deleted.
