Monark has a single BP mode (slope not mentioned at the GUI but is 12db/octave) while The Legend has two BPF modes with 12dB and 24dB. Overall The Legend has 4 filter modes now with two for the LPF and two for the BPF.
The only mode that is now not included in The Legend is a 6dB/1-Pole LPF like found in Monark (Monark has 3 LPF modes and one BP mode).

The 24dB Bandpass in The Legend compared to teh 12dB mode that is included too could really make a big differnce in the sound while the same is also true for the 24dB/12dB LPF modes.
Most BPFs included in vintage synths semed to be 12dB or 6dB but not 24dB like the corresponding mode in The Legend. From the analog synths i used/owned myself only the Novation Bass Station II (got this last year) has a 24dB + 12dB BPF too (and the same for the LPF and HPF).
In some modules of the the Moog Modular a lot of filter modes seemed to be available too.

Monark also has no aftertouch and velocity suport like just added with The Legend v1.10 while with a little tweaking it should be possible to add this to the Monark Reaktor ensemble.

Besides that there are additional reasons why The Leegnd seems to be superior to Monark.

I just created an audio demo with a layer of two instances of The Legend using a Synth Brass patch and a Choir like sound (both using the polyphonic mode):

IW - The Legend - Brass + Choir Layer Demo 01

The Synth Brass patch is included with the new v1.10 update (called "Legend-ary Brass IW") and my free Synth Brass collection.
The choir like sound was created using two Bandpass filtered Pulse Oscs combined with an Ensemble effect in ValhallaÜberMod. The ensemble was inspired/recreated from my Waldorf Streichfett String synth and the ÜberMod preset is available here (the first one):
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&start=30

Both layers/instances were the routed into an audio track with the Lexicon MPX Native Reverb. no other effects (built-in or external) were used and teh built-in Reverb of the Synth Brass presets was deactivated.

In some parts of the audio demo also the aftertouch feature was used with both instances.

Here is a download for the Choir/Vox like sound while you need a nice String Ensemble FX to play it like in that audio demo posted above:

Just don't write a number one hit with it while you're still at school.

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

An official newsleter about The Legend v1.10 was published now:
Dear Synapse Audio User,

we have updated The Legend to v1.1. This update contains:

- A bandpass filter mode with two slopes, 12dB and 24dB.
- The bandpass filter is based on the same transistor ladder model as the lowpass filter is, and thus shares the same saturation characteristics.
- Support for Velocity and Aftertouch on the back panel. Velocity can be routed to volume or filter, Aftertouch can be routed to the modulation amount or filter.
- Factory library extended to 480 patches (about 60 patches are new).
- Minor bugfixes.

This free update can be downloaded from our support area as usual:

No offense Ingo, but you're definitely not what i'd call a rich source of modesty. ;)

When you're good, no need to be modest. I have a lot of respect for many of the designers here. Ingo is certainly one of them.

Well, if you're a regular here, then you most def know what "IW" stands for in a preset. ;)

Anyway, not my business, just a bit amused about it, hehe.

Well, together with the 107 re-programmed Classic patches (from the patch sheets of Klaus P. Rausch with kind permission) currently 150 presets are made by myself...

My free full collection of Synth Brass presets (currently 47) is found here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9#p6688679

Besides that there is a bunch of patches not published yet.

All together this more than a "small" contribution and i do not see a reason why not to mention it.
