Damm... Lush-101 was $49.99 at JRRshop?
I Should have bought it....
You should have :hihi:

I got it back then and it's terrific. Like everything else, it's not perfect (and you have to check the "mulitcore" or it's pretty hoggy) but you can tweak forever.

Are the bonus just samples or Kontakt Instruments?

Hi fleer :-). Still hanging around. I knew that if someone cared it would be you :D  .
And I'm still 25 :hyper:. First time in more than a year that I have some spare time to spend in this great forum. It won't be as often as earlier though.

IK is doing some nice sales next week, including one of their most popular channel strip plugins and the lowest prices ever on some bundles and upgrades. The Dotec Audio DeeMax is the one everyone is going crazy over this week:

I seem to remember BFD Upgrades being on sale at least once before. I've never seen the Geist or Strobe Upgrades on sale.

Set an extra $1,000 aside for new plugins. The plugins it comes with aren't anything special by today's standards. I use lots of UAD plugins but I'd sooner use Studio One's stock plugins than most of the UAD stock plugins.

Fleer wrote:New one coming up probably?
Possibly, though it's also just an adjustment. The old price was too high, especially when they charge as much as they do for their plugins. $999 is the right price.

A lot of companies do this, including NI. They blow out Komplete every year right before the new version comes out, figuring that customers will then want to upgrade to the new version a month later. If I'm remembering correctly, the lowest price Geist 1 ever sold for was $99 and now the upgrade to Geist 2 is $99, so it's pretty much the same as buying Geist 2 new for $199.

Anyway, like you said, you haven't touched Geist in years and that's what's made it such a bad deal for you. $99 for something you love and use constantly is money well spent.

I should mention I have all the Waves ones. They work okay.
I prefer the iZotope versions but you're right that the Waves ones do more or less the same things. For anyone doing any kind of dialog or location recording, I recommend getting the either the full version of RX or wait for the new version of Acon Digital Acoustica.

I end up using de-click quite a bit, it's awesome. I think the iZotope production bundle might have been my most used purchase from Black Friday.
