Oh I see, through tomorrow. Ok, I'll dl the demo and check it out.
Denoiser is amazing for getting rid of guitar 60 cycle hum. Also, I use Declicker on bass after compression, it gets rid of the annoying transients that get brought out by optical compressors.
All it did here was send my CPU into a frenzy and create a bunch of crackles

But alas, I'm sure it's great. I just didn't have enough time to demo properly and don't really have any love of getting it so.....

Not sure how long this will last, but 8dio's current 40% off $500 or more valentines day code stacks with Adagio Strings Bundle being 70% off, making it a total of $299.40!

(The Agitato Bundle by itself only works up to the 10% off $200 or more coupon, but should also get 40% off if bought at the same time with the Adagio bundle with the 8LOVE40 coupon)

Anyone got a good deal on Guitar Center Secret Sale?

Not hating on anyone's "bargains"... just saying. I almost don't visit the thread anymore because it's turned progressively more and more into a self-advertisement channel.

Totally agree. I love JRR but most of the stuff they post aren't that great of deals. They just post anything and everything. I would like to see the thread be for unusually good deals only. Anyone can find most of these prices pretty often and lots of times the item advertised in that thread have been much cheaper in the past therefore not a deal at all.

A lot of these should really go in the Deals area, rather than the Bargain Center, but I'm not sure whether KVR charges for that service and that might unduly affect smaller retailers/producers. I agree that if a product, such as those I mentioned a few pages back, seem to be discounted for the majority of the year somewhere, then it's hardly a bargain, it's just the regular price.

Mind you, any advertising for products you've got no interest in buying becomes annoying pretty quickly.

Kind of seems like an insane deal if you're into orchestral strings, and, of course, they're any good. I wouldn't know, but, I had to check out how much savings that was just so I could live a bit vicariously through you.

Wooo, that's some savings, amiright?!?

I'm happy to spend the few seconds reading/skipping seller-posts to at least have the chance to know about a discounted price.

Also, the real bargains get discussed here, in the discussion thread.

I've noticed that as well.

+1 on rifftrax's statement. At this point, 90+% of the 'Bargains' are either direct advertising by vendors, or cut and paste jobs from any of about a dozen newsletters that we can all sign up for.

Especially tired of the re-cycling of the same old deals over and over. Agree that the lower price for a lot of these items is the regular price; anything else is just marketing pretense.

I'm not sure, but I think the turning point may have been the Great Price Crash of 2009. Our software toys now, even from formerly expensive devs, are mostly ridiculously cheap. Not a lot of price margin left to wring out real deals, except for products that either failed to find a customer base and are being heavily discounted as a result, are at the end of a life-cycle, or to hype the next upgrade.

I don't have a solution, either, except maybe to have some separate thread for all the newsletter announcements. That would probably cut postings by about three-quarters, maybe? It would at least make it easier to wade through the endless promos to find an actual deal.

####

For any newb who hasn't already done so, just create accounts and sign up for these newsletters and you'll see how thin on the ground everything else is. And you'll get the info a few minutes ahead of it being posted here. :P

https://www.jrrshop.com/
http://plugindiscounts.com/
http://www.pluginboutique.com/
https://www.audiodeluxe.com/
http://everyplugin.com/

Add subs to the newsletters of any specific devs you're interested in, and you're almost totally covered. Though the shops above will frequently offer an additional 10%-ish discount that gets them all within a dollar or two of each other.

Then, yeah, we can obsessively chew over hopefully genuine deals in the discussion thread.

Supposed to start today but, even allowing for different timezones, doesn't appear to have started yet. I'm guessing it'll be around 0900 US time, which would be roughly 1400 GMT.
