I´m trying to create this effect in Ozzies voice, I think it´s a Leslie and some reverb.

Would it be possible to create this in a rack filter?
Anyone did this before?

How to set the reverb for this "far away" sound?

Thanks for helping ... ;)

Try it and see, you could probably come close using a rack...I would put in an EQ, then a phaser or some kind of rotating modulation, and then a reverb with a longer tail. It may even want two phasers, one going fast and the second one going slow. Pay attention to where it sits in the mix, and to all the levels. Cool song too.

That would have been done with a real mic'd-up leslie.

The frequency content is restricted (either deliberately or by a crappy leslie), so cut off the low-end and top-end before routing through a rotary plugin such as Mr. Donald.

Then add a little bit of studio ambience reverb.

It sounds like a spring reverb added at the end.

People using a Leslie as an effect often just mic one rotor. Jon Lord only miced the bass rotor of his and then ran the signal into a marshall to get his sound in Deep Purple.

Thank you all!
