Finally an expansion for an REFX/Vengeance product that isn't advertised so damned EDM-like. Each demo example is so unique and I can totally see these sounds used in a variety of genres! I love that in a preset bank!

Thanks for chiming in, Avenger is so versatile, wasting it for EDM seems just silly to meGMusic wrote:Finally an expansion for an REFX/Vengeance product that isn't advertised so damned EDM-like. Improvising with the patch Cello Pad, some modwheel action.
Patch description from the PDF:
Patch description from the PDF:
https://soundcloud.com/sampleconstruct/ ... or-avengerRe-synthesized/wave-tabled cello sound meets FFT synth, WT scanning speed, voice detune in OSC1, unison detune/vibrato speed in OSC2 are modulated via random LFO1, MB1 transposes OSC1 up an octave. Unipolar LFO2 modulates unison mix in OSC1 and spectral sweeping/vibrato amount in OSC2, M1/2 are individual volume controls for each oscillator. AT adds vibrato, MW adds FM in both oscillators, adds wave-shaper distortion in OSC1, introduces an octave (Voicing section) and shifts X-Mid in OSC2. M3 controls chorus FX mix (with modulated speed via LFO3), MB2 controls delay mix.

I just released my first library for Avenger:

Takeover for Vengeance Avenger
This sound library provides a broad palette of timbres suitable for a wide variety of musical styles:
*Monumental, epic, dramatic soundscapes with a cinematic flavor.
*Heartwarming, fragile, lush, elevating pads.
*Ethereal, fascinating and otherworldly textures.
*Dark and massive drones.
*Expressive lead synths and juicy bass sounds.
*Beautiful string instruments (guitars, plucked piano, cello derivatives).
*Bells and pluck sounds.
*Synthetic vocal textures.
*Epic brass swells (horns, trombones, sousaphone).
*Drum/percussion sounds for the drum sampler, dry and processed.
*Playful, edgy and minimal sequences.
*Evolving, rhythmical, often tempo-synced animations of timbre, amplitude and filters.
Specs:

Video playlist:
Audio demos:
All demos below were produced entirely with Avenger using only patches from Takeover, no post-processing was applied apart from a limiter on the outputs and some volume automation, if several instances of Avenger were used in a track.

Just to say, it's hard to make a comment: it's another great lesson in sound design.
Dear Simon, if I had to describe your influence on me, (taste, skills, ruthlessness...) I'd surely say "He's a door opener!".
I simply dive into the patches of Take Over I just downloaded and from the first second I start to understand, see, imagine, take inspiration, and a lot more... A synth that (maybe?) was born for Techno guys (or similar) sounds now like a platform for the open space and beyond.
THANK YOU!!

This post totally makes my evening, I'm half dead from the exponential working curve towards the release but reading this fills me with joymatteogk wrote:Just to say, it's hard to make a comment: it's another great lesson in sound design.

Thanks man, I sure dived into this synth as deep as I could, ignoring only the DRUM SQ, once they add a proper pattern player like e.g. in Tremor, I might begin to use it.SLiC wrote:Great Job Simon, I am really enjoying this, really shows off what Avenger can do when in the right hands!

Has Takeover already been handed over to the people who pre-ordered?
