Hey, Moss! I'm using Bitwig 2.0 Beta 3 with Push 2 and latest Push4Bitwig (Github, downloaded today) and noticed two things:
1. Add Device button - "This function is not supported"
2. When I'm trying to change loop lenght, for example, in drum editor, I got the message "Push2 crashed. TypeError: this.clip.getLoopStart().setRaw is not a function" and Push 2 totally freezes for a few seconds.
Is it expected behaviour? Thanks

The great thing in v2 is that there are ONLY remote controls now! If you need a macro to control more than 1 device knob or button use a Macro modulator!brunomolteni wrote:Hi Moss, just got the v2 beta, and wanted to know how are you gonna handle the difference between "remote controls" and "macros" going forward?

No, that's definitively not possible.askewd wrote: Is it possible for the Push to be able to communicate with Bitwigs dialogue boxes? Ie to press the "Ok" button on the screen from Push , for example. ?
That could be some next steps for the API but this will not happen with the v2 release.askewd wrote: Going further - is it possible for the Push2 to display aspects of the dialogue box on it's screen and then let the user rotate the knobs or press buttons to select the options? For example if you press "Slice To Drum Machine" and bitwig asks "how many slices" could that be displayed on the Push and then use one of the knobs to select the number of slices and other parameters and allow press of "OK" all from the Push ?

You were right, I have no idea how that can happen. Everything is good nowmoss wrote: Then you are not running the GitHub version!

Hi all, just bought a Push 1 and Bitwig studio. Super impressed with this control script! So glad I can use Bitwig instead of Ableton but still have the advantage of this fantastic controller.
Just had a question about Cue Markers. Is there any support for this in the script? I searched through the github repo and saw a few lines of javascript about querying/toggling the active state of a cue marker, but I can't find anything in the videos or documentation about it. I would love to be able to enter some mode where I can navigate between cue markers using the pads, the way that DJ controllers like the Traktor Kontrol X1 or F1 do "hotcues". This isn't for performance, but more for bookmarking specific parts of the timeline and being able to jump to them quickly without fiddling around with the mouse constantly (anything on the timeline is extremely annoying because if you misclick or are in the wrong "state" when you click, weird things can happen with timeshifting, moving the playhead, etc.)
Of course, setting the cuepoints based on current playhead position (quantized) would be amazing too. I don't know how good Bitwig's support is for this, though. All I know is you can create a cue marker, rename it, set its color, etc. and that it works pretty well but the interface (clicking on that tiny icon in the timeline view) is horrible and error prone.

Sorry, no. The only thing that is supported in the API regarding Cue Markeres is to toggle Cue marker area on/off. I will add it to the (long) Bitwig wishlistpstare wrote: Just had a question about Cue Markers. Is there any support for this in the script?

It seems you renamed the folder to "Push4Bitwig-master" but the script expects it to be "Push4Bitwig".Ray-Me wrote:here is the content :
