I haven't noticed anything yet on Windows 7 64-bit using the 32-bit Plug-in. I'm not doing anything adventurous with it though.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Glad I can still use the service center to upgrade Kontakt :)

But why must the installer add almost 50MB of PDF files to my SSD? If I need the manual, I will read it online at NI.

Because that's how it has always worked.

Hopefully things can change.

Everytime I update Kontakt, I need to search for PDF files added to the SSD to get rid of them. I keep the English version, but I do not want to use precious SSD space, so I move that to a USB key.

50 MB won't kill your SSD.

I have a 256 GB OS drive SSD. Has W10, heaps of programs installed, and I still have 197 GB free. Not bothered at all by some manuals here and there.

This is a serious issue. We need to talk about it now.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I realized that they also have blowed up the size of the EULA files, these used to be less than 100 kb but are now over 5MB for some reason.

Removing those from the disk reclaimed another 100MB

As I only use the 64 bit VST of any NI plug I got, why do they need to install the 32 bit version as well as the standalone version, as well as the hidden files added to Programdata folder. :help:

NI is in many ways bloatware. I think I must have several GB's of stuff on my disk, that I do not need and cannot remove.

BTW, what's the use of having a 256GB disk, if you are not gonna max it out?

SSD provisioning. Also it was on a sale, and I needed a fast M.2 SSD for boot drive, so it was a clear choice. :)

Regarding Program Data folder, this is where uninstallers are. You don't want to touch that.

I know from experience :scared:

200-500MB that needs to sit there :(

Don't whine. Hard drive space is there to be used. Big feckin' deal.

So you working for NI user help line now then :hihi:

Maybe you can answer when Kontakt 6 ships as well, the NI fanboi-know-nothing-at-all :P

I'm actually working for Impact Soundworks currently. Only beta test for NI.

Even if I knew when K6 is supposed to be released, I'm not supposed to say it, soooo... 8)

So you got no clue, except telling other users they are whiners :dog:

Because you are.

So when I provide feedback about NI being bloatware, which anybody can see, you as a beta tester tells me I am whiner.

Why doesn't NI kick you off that team straight away?

If you can't deal with feedback about a product without whininig about feedback yourself, what's the use. Why even bother making Kontakt 6
