I think it's lame that y'all only told me that the coupon has a short expiration date AFTER I took the survey.

You should be up front about that.

Disappointed customer.

Or just give them away for free

What's the problem ? A couple of months ago I got two u-he soundsets with a u-he discount. Performer and Catalyst.

The generosity that u-he has shown should not be underestimated as this is a great quality for a company. One that builds trust and following. Witness the official free Repro-1. Of course there are limits.

What I'm saying is that it would be nice to include merchandise. I know these comes from 3rd parties and it's not as easy to include in a discount. Doesn't do harm to ask !

I liked taking the survey. Always nice to give some feedback. I have and use everything by u-he. Not much choice on Linux isn't it. The $25 announced up front kind of told me, all right, I'll get that u-he t-shirt that otherwise I might have passed and at the same time, why not get the latest Zebra2 Traveller soundset ? 8)

Otherwise all's fine, no harm done.

Sorry, hehe, the coupon is a little incentive to do the survey, but the survey isn't supposed to be a little nuissance to get the coupon. Please keep that in mind, sometimes these discussions appear to adopt latter perspective :clown:

We also don't want to offend people who buy/make our soundsets by giving them away for free for a quick click through a survey. A % coupon might work for that, but not a $ one. However, as the survey is merely targeted at u-he customers, a 25$ coupon seems the better choice than, say, a 5% off of a sale.

We can't use the coupon for merchandise because our commission on it is exactly 0$. The stuff is expensive as it is, so I decided not to add a revenue for us on top.

By chance, this week I was kinda doing my list of favorite sound designers (one of the questions on the survey). Good timing :)

I've completed the survey but hasn't received discount letter.

Neither have I, but it said somewhere that it will take a while Before it's sent out to everyone. If I am not misstaken it said something like a week or so.

Yes. As mentioned at the start and end of the survey it can take up to a week for us to send out the coupons.

We are firing up the coupon-generator-sender-thingy (we call him Rob) to try to get the first batch of coupons out on Friday.

The coupon would be valid for a month right?

- Yes, the newsletter can take a little longer for some folks to receive depending where you fall in the queue.

- You need to opt-in to the newsletter to get receive it, we don't automatically subscribe people. If you wish to subscribe you can do so on the u-he homepage (the subscribe box is along the right side, above the Twitter feed)
I 'own' quite a few more u-he stuff than I use.....I would have loved a use option as well.
Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes writing survey questions is trying to balance all possible variations and find the best way without becoming too obtuse. Some people own but don't use, some people use but don't own, some people only use the free stuff etc etc.
u-he created soundbanks: I imagine you include u-he commissioned soundbanks like oxide and the one just released today, however I found it a bit inaccurate to include the u-he commissioned vs u-he created.. maybe just me (as usual)
For the sake of this survey, yes, commissioned = created.
These days even though my studio has PC and my production/bedroom studio has Mac, I tend to use Mac more often the last few months which was definitely not the case before. I would have wished for an option for both.
Yes, I can understand that, thanks.
