Maybe because Synthex is a Poly synth, CAT a mono?rosschehayeb wrote:So is Diva, as a concept, dead?
I know there were technical/financial reasons repro 1 was its own plugin, and I've heard those same reasons cited as for why repro 5 will be its own plugin too.
But now the CAT too? They're all analog emulations. I've heard Urs say he's considering the Synthex filter for Diva, but I really don't understand why CAT wouldn't go into Diva and Synthex would, unless u-he is pretty much done with the idea of an analog emulator with swappable modules.
Not quite. You will need to own RePro-1 to get Repro-5.rosschehayeb wrote:and I've heard those same reasons cited as for why repro 5 will be its own plugin too.
Based on prior comments from Urs, my understanding is that it's about 1) will osc and filter modules from synth X bring something new to the Diva table and 2) does a particular synth's architecture fit the Diva paradigm? Repro-1's modulation scheme wouldn't work in the Diva architecture, and it wouldn't have been a Pro-One emulation without that particular feature. Now, would the oscs and filter alone really add that much without the modulation scheme? My guess is Urs felt it would just work better as a standalone product.rosschehayeb wrote:So is Diva, as a concept, dead?

To the contrary.rosschehayeb wrote:So is Diva, as a concept, dead?
