Noise in a Bazille patch - can't work out where it's coming from

In the Bazille presets, under Tune Loops, there is a patch called AZ Bad Boys. I love it but there is a kinda electrical interference noise that I can't get rid of. I turned everything I thought was logical, but can't locate it. Most of the time I like those kinda artifacts but this time I need the sound to be very clean and pristine.
I've altered the cutoff, checked the rez, cut everything from 10k upwards but the noise is still there.
If anyone's familiar with this patch, or could dial it in and help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

did u turn of the FX units?

edit:
scratch that! i think the noisy part u meant comes from the quantizer.
try to bypass and see if the sound still fits...
sounded pretty ok to me without it.

Thanks but after I'd added more layers to the track, the noise was lost amongst all the other noise.
I did think myself that it might have been the distortion and turned the hi cut down and was surprised to still hear the noise.
I bounced all the parts earlier, so I could add more parts / processing, but maybe the noise will act as some kind of low level saturation / warmth in the final master. It was only annoying in isolation, but hidden within the overall mix, it was obscured by every else that was going on. .

Even though it isn't an issue anymore, I was curious, so....
It's the part where the signal is modulated by an LFO in the Multiplexer and then sent to the Quantizer. Just take the LP24 output of Filter 1, and instead of the current routing to the Multiplexer, route it directly to the output (overriding the current connection form the Quantizer): noise gone.

Thanks for looking into it BDeep.
I knew it was gonna be one of those tracks that just flies out, so it was a bit of a straight run to last base.
I rendered everything and worked on the stems, and added more parts, mixed and mastered it, so i've come too far with the track to go back and fix it.
Actually no...I can go back and just render the bazille part on its own and slot it into the last saved version. Glad you were able to work out what the problem was, and thanks for taking the time to look into it =)

I tried your suggestion BDeep but when I take the cable from filter 1 and delete it, the whole bass component disappears. When I then try to route filter 1 to out 1, it wont allow me to make that connection, but, at least I know the additional unwanted noise is mostly coming from that bass component. Its a difficult patch to reverse engineer.

Its really bugging me now =/
I've turned down the volume of each oscillator separately, and the noise is behind each one, which would suggest its a modulation of some kind, but I can't locate the source.
I thought oscillator 4 was the trigger for the sequencer as its routed to the multiplpexer, but when I removed that cable, the rhythmic sound continues to play even though oscillator 4 doesnt seem to be routed to anything.

I've tried removing each cable one at a time, but the noise persists, starting at 0 at the start of each pass and ramping up to 100 by the end of 4 beats. It sounds like a cutoff sweep but sounds aliased and buzzy

Aw crap! I'll look at it in the morning!
The noise is coming from the multiplexer, and it's actually a really distorted signal after that, and somehow (don't ask...) the quantizer seems to work as a filter. If I recall correctly (not at my laptop now)

Perhaps it's related to the side of the Multiplexer you are using before the quantizer. When modulating the Multiplexer with a signal connected to the right side input, it will act as a ring modulator. Since you are using a slow LFO rate, it will just result in the phase reversing as the LFO crosses 0, maybe the quantizer doesn't like that (though I can't imagine why that would be the case). I'm not, sure I'd have to try the patch myself.

Anyway, try connecting the LP24 output from the filter to the input on the right side of the multiplexer. If the issue doesn't go away, at very least the behavior should change and perhaps that will give you a clue as to the cause of the problem.

It does sound like a sorta' ring mod. Its easier to hear as you turn all the volumes down for each oscillator, and turn the cutoff right down to almost nothing. Its like a sound that results from some kind of parallel processing.Like a mixture of white noise and comb filtering.
Assuming I understood you correctly, I tried your suggestion.
The LP24 output from filter 1 goes straight to the multiplexer. When I remove that, there is no sound at all.
The output from filter 1 is routed to the LP24 in filter 2. When I remove that, I lose oscillators 2 and 3.
Routing from either LP24 to an input on the right side of the multiplexer after that makes no difference.
I turned all the dials to zero in the multiplexer, to see if I could figure out what its actually doing, but it doesnt seem to be making any contribution to anything :help:

There was still a little low level noise which was coming from the reverb, so I turned that off too and its exactly how I wanted it. Sounds ultra-clean now. Thanks a million for your help =) :party: :party:

That's amplitude modulation - for ring modulation you need to connect to the left side inputs.
