And then the other part reminds me how I never use the drums that came with Komplete 9U. I pretty much start with EZ drummer or AD2 and just go. I have a lot of half finished songs.

I do like a big kick drum though. Keeps me in time if it is not lost in the mix.
and don't forget that part that said $20 could get you several lunches
Several? Depends on where you live.

Of course there is always Taco Bell.....

I wouldn't say i "love" Z3TA, but, that's surely a nice deal for a good synth (which i unfortunately only use rarely anymore...).

Post your thoughts in the chat thread.
I have the predecessors in the 5" version. They're ok, they are nowhere near as smooth as my, currently out of commission, DSM-1s. I will fix the DSM-1s, but, I'm thinking about something else. I wish I would have took advantage of the sale on presonus monitors in the fall.

Still, while this isn't a bad buy, it's not in no brainer territory. zZounds has them for $309, MF has them for $349 and these seem to be the prices that I remember. So about $90 off of the typical sale price, which, as far as I'm concerned is the actual retail price.

Anyone love z3ta?
I wouldn't say I love it, but its nice to have around.

It has some interesting oscillator morphing options and the ability to mix each of the 6 oscillator's output to the 2 pannable filters is pretty neat.

I like it too, as part of my Cakewalk stuff. Some good preset banks in there as well.

They have demo version.
I just demoed it now,(your comment lead me to it) and it sounds very nice!! Very big bass sound.
But i think i would not go for it cuz of its ui, cpu hit, few presets..
Quiet attractive price though..

Oh yes, actually (didnt found first time). Just long time wanted Scamp (tried it once), interesting filter. But tried now demo, well, can agree, it's also slightly cpu hungre, that seems strange considering age release. Though, if compare with for example bx_cleansweep pro (which also very good filter) then all a less scary a bit.

Actually you can lower the cpu hit by setting the sampling rate lower.(usually most presets are at 192, lowest value is 48k.)
But still quiet cpu-hungry.

I love its law bass sounds.

What about the Poly-Ana? Is it a good synth and do they have these sales all the time?

It's a great synth and not cpu hungry. They had sales while it was/is in beta stage (working 100% tho). You can find all infos on their site.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Question hoping someone can help with. I was planning on finally upgrading to PT 12 going through jrr shop. But I got an email from avid that they will throw in a free year of upgrades if you purchase before March 31st.

I assume that deal is only through the avid site so now I'm thinking I need to go through them, buuutttt.... if I purchased through jrr do you think the avid deal would still apply? Then it'd be a no brainer.

It should still apply. If there is any trouble, we will get Avid to take care of it or refund you if we can't. I can deliver the license to you this weekend, that way we'll have plenty of time to take care of it if any problems occur.

Brilliant! Thanks, I'll jump online when I get back home.
