Host Automation for v11 in UVI Workstation style

The UVI workstation has a nifty extension to the usual MIDI learn/assign feature. It lets you tie any control to one of the 128 automation parameters the plugin exposes to the host. The interesting thing is that the plugin can tell the host in real time that the name of the automation parameter has changed.

Tested in Reaper: When you turn off the UI mode of the plugin in FX window you see the real name of the control not just the generic one.

Using this concept the v11 plugins could expose less parameters, yet the user is not forced to do automation only by multi-parameters.

I am 99% sure that we will get that and more in v11.

As I understand it, Vojtech is currently implementing exposure of the 'normal' parameters (i.e. not the Multiparameter parameters, Modulator parameters and MIDI controller parameters (that is Value, MaxValue, Range etc for all of them)) plus a revised number (32? 50? 100?) of Multiparameters.

One or several parameters (perhaps including the Multiparameter, Modulator and MIDI controller parameters) will be able to be mapped to any of the exposed Multiparameters. The names you type in for the Multiparameters will be the ones published to the host

The best of both worlds. With a cherry on top.
