Hi, som I am just starting with my xynex 802USB model mixer and my behringer b-1 mic.. I cannot get tracktion 6 to allow me to select the mic/mixer as an audio input on a track and it will not let me record as you cannot record with out an active audio input assigned to a track.. no matter what I do I cannot get it to work, it is like the t6 doesn't recognise the mixer is there so I downloaded audacity and everything worked perfectly straight away, after 4 days of losing my mind over it I have completely run out of ideas and cannot find any videos or anything if the nature with the same problem?!?!

Please help me

It depends largely on which operating system you're using.

If Mac: I have a Behringer U-PHORIA UMC204HD audio interface and it works fine on my Mac Mini (macOS Sierra, Mid 2011). Although, sometimes if I don't shut down my computer and allow it to stay in sleep mode it can accidentally "forget" my interface is connected. When this is the case, all I have to do is unplug it from the USB port and plug it back in and it recognizes it right away.

One further idea is to go into Applications (Folder) > Utilities (Folder) > Audio MIDI Setup (App). You can usually get your Mac to recognize just about anything you plug into it from there. That's where I go when all else fails, including the actual "Sound" System Preferences app. You'll likely want to keep it in your Dock for quick reference again, so make sure to pin it there by moving it around within the Dock or right clicking and selecting Options > Keep in Dock.

If PC/Windows: BUY A MAC! *Seriously, though, most of your problem is probably located in either the "Devices" section of System Preferences or the "Sound" preferences in Control Panel. However, if Audacity is recognizing your mixer this doesn't sound like a Devices problem, more like a Sound preferences recognition problem.

One thing to make sure of no matter which OS you're working with is to try connecting your mixer to the other USB ports on your computer. When I had a PC, I found that one USB port doesn't necessarily work the same as another on the same computer. And if you have a Mac and are plugged into a USB hub rather than the actual USB ports on the computer itself, this can also cause recognition issues.

Beyond this, I would submit a request to Tracktion themselves and also contact Behringer's customer support. And then there's always Google! Hope some of my tips help instead and you don't have to take it that far, though.

Best of luck to you and let us know how it goes. :ud:

*Seriously, BUY A MAC! :clown:
