Unless they've changed something, they might have, I don't know, make sure you get on with that user interface.
It's now skinnable, with several well-received user designs at the AQ website.
OMG! You can finally see what the knobs do!
I was impressed with the sound of the demo, but those skins weren't the best.

I lightened up the Hoverland background and it has made it much easier on the eyes for me.

What's the word on Wave Arts Final Plug? I have to admit it looks ancient.

I have diva and modular, and a bunch of hardware analog synths - and something about the sound of poly-ana struck a chord with me for the type of sound I like, especially as there are no effects masking it. At $45 USD with the offer right now, it seemed worth it to me.

You can download a demo to try for yourself from here (the beta version does the new skins): http://www.admiralquality.com/products/

If you want to use that lightened background GUI, just download and install the "hoverland" skin from here: http://www.admiralquality.com/products/ ... #Hoverland

then download the lighter background image from here:

and use that to replace the Poly-Ana_Panels.png file in the "skin" folder - on a mac that's in ~Library/Application Support/Admiral Quality/Poly-Ana/skin

On sale for $39, down from $79.

I have no idea whether this is a real sale, or just marketing, but I want one.

It was $19 over the holidays. I'm not sure that I would have bought it at $39, but I'm cheap. That said, I use it A LOT. If you do dark ambient it works really well. It comes with quite a few presets as well, more than you'd expect.

IMHO: Poly-Ana is easily one of the most accurate analog-sounding emulations available - currently priced @ $44.99USD
Deal of the month so far, and lowest price I have seen on Poly-Ana so far.

I think I better get it now before it becomes freeware

Sure, but my comment shouldn't have been seen as an endorsement of the skins so much as a condemnation of the impossible U/I of the original. It was so bad that I couldn't even bring myself to try to understand what the synth was all about. Hence my comment, at least now you can see what the knobs do and form an opinion on the architecture.

I've never even heard the synth TBH, the U/I was a non-starter from the get-go. At this point, I don't buy synths that just sound good, they have to be bringing something interesting to the table technically so I'm not really in the market. Nonetheless, I that new skinnable U/I should help people understand where the synth is coming from at least.

Even by 2017 standards Poly-Ana sounds quite good. One of its particular strengths is bass, IMO.
A well-behaved signature.

IIRC, this promotion is limited to specific hardware models. I have some presonus hardware, but nothing that qualifies.
