Hi folks, so satYa did some improvement from the original Aluminion style for V11 and defined the brighter colors. And accidentally for the V11 private beta the engine started selecting the original colors. And guess what, I (and everyone here I asked) like it much more. So what does the public think? ;)

I'm simply trying to understand the taste of the public ;).

Neither!
#1 does not look like a connected plug-in; many of the controls seems to be floating loose in that bright white background. it might be better with a darkish-grey background. The knobs do look better, though. I think that with such a range of lightness / darkness my eyes will sub-consciously keep adjusting to the different levels

#2 Background is better, but not good. - faux brushed Aluminium? But the 5 vertical bands make it look a bit bent. For me, sky blue buttons do not go well with the brown tones. And the colourised Reflections panels look better, too, for some reason.

The very dark buttons and knob labels need a darkish background.

Are those colour palettes in the Colour Settings Presets (I cannot tell which are new and which ones I had before).

Dump all styles and just use Titanium and Carbonium they are just great..

Post

My gosh these are not good. Satyas one is the better of the two. I don't like either sorry.

I agree with spencerlee, make everyone use Titanium! It looks amazing. Maybe just have a light and dark option of it? Except I don't like Carbonium, it is too 3D with too much wasted space.

Neither of the two new options looks better than the original Aluminion style in my opinion. :?

I like that you made a Trump chamber preset :hihi:
Well, almost.

IMO not bad, but the old Aluminium knobs were great. They had their character!

And another regretful agreement here. :(

maybe its the smaller sized Big Knobs you don't like?

In Titanium I find the bright white text a bit too much. In the attached palettes I have made it light grey. You can Import them in the Colour Settings Presets window; remove the .txt extension first.

I think after all its a matter of getting used to it. But aluminium was fine as it was in my opinion. Maybe only make the big knobs a bit smaller

honestly, i think they both look disgusting, and i normally dont give a rats ass how a plugin looks.
satya's is my fave, but even on that, the high saturation blue under the dry/wet , early/late, just looks totally out of place, and unprofessional. same problem with the other one.

so i think the 3 high-sat sliders, and the green padlocks, just make the whole thing seem disjointed and rushed, considering there is already another 3 background colours (including the 2 reflections panes)

personally, i would make the two reflections panes the same colour, or maybe just slightly different tones, and have a darker low sat background.

on satya's. i think the green panel, and the high sat sliders (dry/wet) are the biggest source of disgust, and on the other version, both ref panels just dont belong in the same space as those orange sliders at the top

all just my opinion of course

Why not just default to Titanium. This is how it comes up. Very cool.
