How does it compare to Echoboy Jnr?

Insta-buy for me... Dem TAL guys rock...
Regarding Echoboy Jr...
I don't really see them as too comparable. Dub X is probably
quite a bit more flexible, but the analog models in Echoboy Jr. are tough to beat.
Dub X is dub delay, its not meant to try to capture analog sounds like the other.
At $25 there is plenty of room for both in anyone's delay arsenal IMHO.

Wow, really? I think TAL Reverb2 is the best free reverb plugin ever! Never downloaded 4, so don't know about that one.Compyfox wrote:TAL-Reverb3 is still a great artificial plate (I prefer it over TAL-Reverb2 and TAL-Reverb4)

For as long as I live I will never understand why some devs use white noise bursts in their demos. Imagine running a book store where every 30 seconds you scare the bejesus out of prospective shoppers with an unpleasant noise to remind them that book they are flicking through isn't free. This is why shops try to create a pleasant atmosphere to encourage browsing (and purchasing).
After trying a demo last year that had a burst of noise that literally made my ears ring, I now immediately uninstall any demo that does this (fortunately most demos I try now have x number of days fully functional). Contrast this with the other demo I grabbed at the same time - Exponential R4. I spent a couple of days putting it through its paces, with full functionality, and now just bought it.
Maybe I am missing something and someone can explain to me, however considering the limitless number of ways devs can limit their demos (time limited, session limited, background crackle, limited patches etc) without making the experience unpleasant, why choose the only one that actively discourages exploration?

noticed one tiny thing while comparing with other delays:
in sync mode the timings aren't labeled correctly. i.e. 1/8 dot in dub-x is 1/4 trip in my other delays etc.
fixed in 1.0.1 (thx)

I just got this, kind of on a whim, after seeing a video. I am having so much fun playing it, especially with plucks.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Big fan of anything Tal.
It’s easy to loose control and have it feedback til the house burns down. But if treated carefully it’s a beauty.

Yeah, the whole Dub series is a boon. Dub-X is considerably more focused on its multi-stage distortion stage, it's great for creating seriously grungy echos. If I had to pick my favorite sounding Dub unit, it would either be Dub-X or Dub 3. With that being said, all of them are so great I hardly ever pick other delays.

Version 1.7.1 / 21.04.2021
Preset browser updated.
New factory presets optimized for preset browser.
UNDO / REDO feature.
Dry / Wet volume sliders replace MIX and VOLUME knob (backward compatible).
Thank you soooo much for the new preset browser...(and as a bonus for me, it is designed the way I like them)
