Yes but I am looking into using Bitwig as a complement to Kore - now I have it working with the Kore controller (in midi mode) I can work just as quickly using the Bitwig browser and it actually gives me access to presets for some synths, particularly the u-he ones and VST3 presets, that Kore can't browse. Kore gives me access to everything NI so I get the best of both worlds that way.

If Mac are like other Unix OS then files and folders starting with a dot (.settings) are invisible. On Windows there's an invisible attribute.

Done the u-he syths, Uhbiks nearly complete - what should I do next then?

Serum?
JamWide - a cross-platform Ninjam client for DAWs

Post

Good idea, it's easier to browse Serum in Bitwig than it is using its own browser

Here are Uhbiks anyway

Here is one for Serum

Macro knobs on page one with basic perform controls - macro knob names will change with the patch :tu:

Now what?

Post

Actually I might do Dune 2 - it's one of those plugins that is browsable in BW2 but annoyingly not in Kore so for me at least would fit the bill.

Difficult one though - the layers make it tricky to map as potentially you need lots of duplicate pages which just makes it unwieldy. I may just prioritise the first 2-3 layers not all 8 - what do people think is the best approach to this sort of plugin? Tbh most Sound designers do not use more than 3.

Post

OK here's my first attempt at Dune 2 - it's probably not realistic to do more than the 'All' layer - any more than that and we'd end up with dozens of user pages and it would just be a mess to navigate

Do you own spire or sylenth?

thx for the serum one and the others.

I have Spire but it doesn't integrate as well with Bitwig so less of a priority for me - I have a perfectly adequate Kore template for that. Maybe I'll do it eventually but first I would prefer to adapt plugins that fit the Bitwig environment better.

Couple of FM synths - Nemesis works well, all patches browse in Bitwig (better than using the plugin's own browser)

Rhino - unfortunately the presets are in FXB banks so although they do load in Bitwig's browser they are only navigable using the dropdown - really Bitwig needs to address this and make FXBs browsable too. However it's an easy one to map as only Macros are available and works well in Bitwig

Vember Audio Surge seems an appropriate one to add:

Pity they don't make it a fully fledged Bitwig device - miles better than Polysynth

Post

Last one for now - Strobe 2 (makes sense since all its presets are converted to Bitwig presets + it's one of the few plugins with MPE support)

Thanks for sharing this ... even though I don't own any of these.

But, is there any way to access this alphabetical list of parameters that was available in v1?

Edit: Nevermind ... the list directly in the devices works as well.

Post

Well I'm open to more suggestions - done the obvious ones.
