Ah sorry it was 'Clock Speed' not 'LFO' - Think Tasmaniandevil on your team might've seen it back in January:

Just made a track using the preset HS Rotofuzz 7+9 (Under the section ' 07 Seq - Melodic ') with my host set at 44.1Khz. However when I exported/rendered the project at 88.2Khz (I tend to resample stuff in post so it gives me extra frequency headroom if I ever slow stuff by half etc.) I noticed that the arpeggiator ran at double the clock speed from when I was hearing it in real time. Sure enough when I re-rendered the project at 44.1Khz it was playing at the same (correct) speed as with what I was hearing in realtime.

So is the 'Clock Speed' somehow getting its timing from Sample Rate ? Anyone else able to reproduce this ?
Thanks for reporting, will add that to our list of things to fix.
Looks like in some hosts this can happen. Was able to reproduce it in Reaper. But it didn't happen when I tried it in Cubase.
As a workaround (until we can fix this), you could temporarily change the sample rate of the Ableton project to the desired rate and then export it. This way the arp or sequencer in Repro will run at the correct speed.

Ah, ok... I'm sure that's being looked at!

egbert101 wrote:A little interesting fact: Vince Clarke (from Yazoo) created that track using samples in the Fairlight Sampler. So to get even closer, you'll have to find a Fairlight emulator and use Repro-1 samples run through it to get that crunchy 8-bit/12-bit sound.
Aren't he using CMI II which was produced after Don't Go got released?

Well the CMI II came out the same year Don't Go was released, so unless Vince Clarke is lying (which I doubt).
I don't think VC is lying :)

Btw, what is the source? I've searched some but they all 1984-1985.

Nice little Documentary about Yazoo here. Sorry don't know the exact position in the video he talks about it. It's only 37 minutes. :hihi:

EDIT: @ 13:37 onwards. :hihi:

Watched it thru, good doc, thanks.

They are talking about VC obtaining Fairlight, limited playing abilities and broken chords. But nothing like we've sampled Pro1 into Fairlight =)

Exactly.

He may have used Fairlight for some odd sounds in Upstairs at Eric's—in the video you see him playing the Fairlight keyboard for what sounds like sample in "Goodbye 70s"—but synth sounds will still be analogue to tape.
