Yeah, basically if you move the clip-level down, its the same as if you move the input-gain up and the output-gain down.
(I added the clip-level later with version 1.1, in the previous version it was always 0dB, because of customers requests)

Basically from very low to very high, depends on the oversampling factor (up to x256) and the filter quality. You can adjust both.meloco_go wrote:What's the CPU usage?
Is there a way to set up oversampling higher on render?
There is an offline rendering option, whether or not it works depends on the host, because not all hosts support offline-rendering. Offline-rendering has been successfully tested with: Cubase/ProTools and Logic.

Thanks for the explanation! I want the perceived volume to stay the same before the following limiter, so I'll continue to reduce the Clip instead of raising the Gain.audiotools wrote:Yeah, basically if you move the clip-level down, its the same as if you move the input-gain up and the output-gain down.

Also some sweet coupons in the mailing list emailDear SIR Audio Tools Users,
As part of the continuous improvement process, StandardCLIP has been updated. Check out the new cool features:
- new maximum Peak & RMS displays (reset via mouse-click)
- RMS Full Scale Sine (+3dB) Option
- the output preview waveform includes now the pre-reduction level (red), relative to the output-level, to show the amount of reduction
- half-waveform view mode for more precise adjustment
- new clip mode "Ratio 2:1"
- minor bug fixes
This update is free of charge for all the StandardCLIP licensees.

Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

I've just found this now.
I tested a lot of clippers in the maket, i think it is the best out there.
GUI doesn't look like pro but sound and performance, functionality are top notch.

Any chance of adding a numerical display of the eaten dB's above or below that reduction meter?
