Question for s123 How do you change sample to waveform ?

Post

Thanks for the feedback :tu:

I'm no expert at it, but all I do is sample a Synth patch for about 10 seconds or so. Then I use OcenAudio to view the waveform.

Then I listen to the best section of that waveform for the sound that is required, zoom in, select a single cycle, truncate, normalise and save as wav. When you select a single cycle, make sure you're as close to zero-crossing as possible.

Then open MuLab/MuX and in your chosen Synth Oscillator, change the waveform of that Oscillator to your edited single cycle waveform.

Hope that helps.

I am curious, are the sounds any good? Is there anything wrong with them? Could they be improved? I'd appreciate some constructive criticism :tu:

I am disinterring this decomposed thread to share some terrific single-cycle waveforms suitable for MuSynth, Basic Synth, and other Mux devices, presets and modules. MuLab oscillators give you so many ways to stack, edit and morph between waveforms, but cool waveforms are a good starting point:
