Yikes! I could never give up either one! Maybe people didn't try the demos and had no idea, but...I'm sure there are reasons though...

Well I could see that Abstract Guitar was becoming overshadowed or superseded by Microrock but daAlpha is a nice instrument and has always had quite a following - seems a strange one to scrap completely even if there's no potential for further development.

Well I remember a while ago Abguit 2 was mentioned, then withdrawn, and now, though discontinued, the page says version 2 is still possible. I'd be really interested in seeing what else she may become though I wouldn't want it to distract Liqih from ever newer ideas and products...

That's very generous, but I've just d/led the 'free' da-Hornet and it still wants a serial number. Which is not included

Just have to add my "thank you very much": both to liqih for daHornet -- and to Krim for the pointer

. Wouldn't have found the serial no otherwise.

And it's very nice... One day I'll spend some time with it and come up with some original sounds, I think: the presets show it to have a lot of possibilities. I knocked out a quick "here's how daHornet feels to me" tune already (see my Soundclick site) and my mind is already working to see how to use it along with EZpoly to get some more spacey backing sounds...

da hornet seems to be nice, so i downloaded it,
but when i tried to use it in my host, it asked me a serial number ?????
i thought it was free ???

however i'm wondering why it produces clicks and pops at ASIO buffersize=128 when all my other synths (except Sytrus) play cleanly at that setting.

i know it's free, and you don't need to support it anymore, and i hate to sound like i'm complaining, but i'm mostly just curious why this should be. is it particularly CPU-hungry? or ???

any ideas?
