Loud Synthesizer 'Click' Or 'Tic' ...

... at the start of numerous patches made with the 'standard' big synth? Those are, IMO, not normal and can't be removed by changing the attack of the VCA. Anyone noticed this?

That click could be to do with the attack, you need to set attack to around 150 Ms minimum.

Load the patch named "Analog Timpani", for example. You can find it in the Tuned Percussion folder. Changing the attack to 150 milliseconds doesn't change a thing. I know what you're saying, increasing the value of the attack usually does the trick with other synths or samplers that have a click or tic in the beginning but not with this synth. It's called the Musynth? I only hear it with this synth.Taifunk wrote:What do you mean with "'standard' big synth"? mux patch? musynth? or vsti?
sorry, just to understand
Here's an image of the synth that I'm talking about

Yes It's called Musynth, the click you hear is caused by the chorus in the FX section,If you turn off this the click disappears,in this case I think maybe it is a choice for that type of patch, did you notice any other patch with these clicks?

Indeed, you're right, it is the chorus! "Vintage Swell 2" also has that chorus click. Some of the other patches that I thought had clicks can be solved by increasing the attack after all. Thanks. I'm glad that I know what it is now.Taifunk wrote: Ok thanks![]()

Can someone tell me what click you talk about?
Here is Vintage Swell 2 on my system.
If yours is different, could you check if the LFO inside the chorus is connected to event input?

Really!?AndreasD wrote:I see.
So someone has to check all the choruses and replace them with more recent versions.
I don't hear any click or tic, maybe it's just an acoustic illusion.
I can only hear these wonderful imperfections that make the sound more alive, more analog, magical
OK,I'm joking:)
Done, I checked all synth patches but without opening each individual patch, just tested the patch playing them, unless I missed something, only found another patch> "resonant lead".

Luckily, thanks to Super Layers, not too many factory patches use the chorus effect.

I've just found that zero release times can also have this effect, dependant on the situation.
