Waveform Crash - and Recovery

The first time I tried to run Waveform it immediately crashed (Windows error to the effect of "something went wrong with this program"). This happened repeatedly, although subsequently I was getting an error message from Waveform itself reporting that one of my MIDI ports had failed to open.

On the assumption that it was using my T7 settings, I ran up T7 to see what happened. It started normally.

I then ran Waveform. It started normally.

Go figure

Thought I'd mention it in case anyone else encounters something similar.

Me too .... I had the same problems it dumps the midi output port of my Novation slkmii and it crashed too ... I also have problems with Collective and Biotek causes pops clicking buffer over and under runs . 256 /48 settings echoaudiofire 4 , had problems with Biotek under T7 too. I also have pops and clicks and buffer under and overruns system lockups and crashes when using loop browser with edit to sync , tempo and pitch correction enabled .... i7 920 SSD gigabyte Mobo 6gb ram W10 Nvidia 9800 ... Waveform has crashed and locked up mainly with loop browser stuff as well.as Biotek and Collective ... Some if this stuff happens in T7 too to be fair .

iMac 27" i5 Retina running osx 10.11.6 with a Focusrite 18i20

Lots of crashes for me. Anyone else having these problems listed below?
1. Click on the small "A" automatable parameters button on the right side of a track just above the small + symbol. When you click in the lower area of the popup box where it has the "tip: remember that this A button can...." does Waveform crash to your desktop?

2. Drag an LFO down to a vol/pan in the track control panel (right side of a track). Choose for the LFO to effect the VOLUME, hit PLAY in the transport so the playhead is moving across the screen then crank the LFO intensity up so the volume slider is bouncing up and down. Now right click on the orange LFO symbol in your track and click on DELETE. Does Waveform crash to the desktop? Mine does every time.

3. Open up Collective. Every thing I click on in Collective creates a spinning OSX beachball for almost 2 minutes. While the beachball is displayed everything in Waveform is locked up. Anyone have the same problem in OSX or PC?

Also, with Collective i have a test project created with only one instance of Collective loaded on one track. When I save that project then close down Waveform then reopen Waveform and click on the project with Collective in it I get a spinning beachball and nothing opens up... completely locked up. I then have to go down and right click on the Waveform App icon that says "not responding" and click on "force quit". Anyone else with osx having this issue?

Anyone with Maschine or Arturia synths try loading anything in Waveform. Arturia stuff only works in VST3 for me. Maschine crashes Waveform when trying to load every time. Problems loading almost anything AU related except for Serum and Massive. I cleared out the plugin list and re-scanned all AU/VST/VST3 plugins multiple times but still get lots of crashes or soft synths with no audio output or keys triggering in the GUI. Same crashing/loading problems in the 32bit and 64bit versions of Waveform. Waveform is a complete mess for me at this point... too unstable.

Hum, that sounds bad.

I ditched T7 several months on OSX ago because it crashed every time.
I use Reaper instead and even the beta releases are rock solids, I don't ever remember a single crash, even more stable than Logic X on my machine.
So I'll better try the demo before purchasing a licence !

I just sent Waveform to the trash bin. I'm going to try reinstalling later and start from scratch to see if that helps any. I've never been this frustrated with software before.

Looks like i cleared up the LFO crash by deleting the demo version of waveform and downloading the 8.0.20 version from my account. But the automation "A" box crash is still there among many other issues/crashes.
