MIDI Port Bugs with Waveform?

I seem to be getting a crash to desktop when I enable certain MIDI Input Ports in Waveform. It seems to have particular problems with my M-Audio Midisport 4x4, my Novation Launchpad Pro and my Behringer BCR2000. Trying to enable certain combinations seems to trigger it, although just enabling the input ports of my Midisport one by one with nothing else enabled throws an error and crash on the 3rd port.

They all work fine in Ableton Live Suite, so I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue.

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium Edition and the 64bit version of Waveform if that's any help.

Anyone had similar problems or can suggest a solution?

Hi Bantam, when you say you're enabling MIDI input ports, do you mean you're enabling the inputs inside Waveform or from an external control app and that's causing Waveform to crash?

Would you be able to send a log file to us just after you witness a crash? To get the log file, open Waveform, press the "Help" button and then "Show the Waveform log file".
There should also be a Windows specific crash reported reference in the line "Crash report created". That will list a file with the extension ".dmp", can you also send this to us please?

It happens when I enable the Inputs inside Waveform. Where would be the best place to send the crash report?

Thanks, please send both logs to support@tracktion.com

Not to piggyback on this thread, but is there Bluetooth MIDI support in Waveform? (On Windows, if it matters.)

Figured this one out this morning, made it into the build at the last second. 8.0.25 should be coming tonight.

Excellent. Thanks for the quick fix. I'll give it a whirl soon.
