Where is the Waveform trial WITHOUT the 3GB Collective, please? [Solved]

As a T5 license holder, I want to demo Waveform for the compositional stuff. I don't want to weigh down my travelling HD with 3GB of stuff that I will never use.
There's no mention of Waveform in my account Downloads archive.
If I just select Free Trial on the Waveform page, I'm apparently forced to download the whole package.
When will the core Waveform be available for trial download, please?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I very much like Collective plugin, but I agree that these should be separate downloads from the day one and not something hidden in archives. Even noobs are able to download three installers and run them all separately.

The downloads aren't hidden anymore, they should be right below the bundle links.lzap wrote:I very much like Collective plugin, but I agree that these should be separate downloads from the day one and not something hidden in archives. This has not been our experience.lzap wrote:Even noobs are able to download three installers and run them all separately.

As a user researcher by trade, I can totally see that being the case. Technical people commonly overestimate the abilities of non-technical people - it's just human nature.dRowAudio wrote:This has not been our experience.lzap wrote:Even noobs are able to download three installers and run them all separately.
That said, non-technical people, in my experience, also don't like large downloads. I wonder if, in the future, there'd be a way to provide a "collective lite" that gives a solid experience out of the box, but also gives an easy way to click a button and get more goodness for free, simply by downloading another 2GB of samples. OR, perhaps with enough UI hand-waving, the initial download could be drastically shrunk and then the samples downloaded after-the-fact once Waveform had been started - a prompt to "enable" collective, which just so happens to download 3GB.
I'd encourage TSC to explore these options with their current and potential customers. If they haven't already, of course!

We had a big discussion on Wednesday about exactly these kind of options and will look into them further next week. Hopefully, we'll be able to please all users with what we come up with no matter how technical they are.vitocorleone123 wrote:As a user researcher by trade, I can totally see that being the case. This relates to people who have purchased, not those looking to demo before purchase.terrynoakes wrote:Log in to your account and look in archives!

FYI everyone, you can now download the Waveform only installers from the trial page.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
