It's out, but to buy it during the first few days (*) you need to sign up for an invitation here: https://insessionaudio.com/products/riff-generation/

(*) EDIT: Only 2 more days left to get it cheaper it seems.
Finally, a tool that does the sound design and composing for you.

Insert sarcastic :tu: here

It's a little pricey though, even with intro special ($160 instead of $250), and I have no experience with the company or any of their previous products. Did anybody here buy and try this lib already, or has some interesting In Session Audio experience to share?
No, but what are people seeing in this? To be clear, I use generative tools and this just doesn't seem that interesting to me.

Interested but the $160 price tag will keep me away!

How about Stochas.

Anyone care to compare Stochas or other similar plugins with RIFF GENERATION
Edit: I did not find the audio in the Riff Gen video very musical.
I am confident that the RG can do better.

Wondering what Nora 3 will offer for $49

Yes especially the composing. IMO, the best songs are made with just an arp.

Same here. In Session Audio makes some really nice instruments, btw. And this one is quite nice, too. I like the workflow. Reminds me a lot of the sequencer in Diversion. But the problem with putting something like this into a Kontakt instrument is that you are then restricted to the samples they provide. And while they are nice, they are naturally limited. You could drag and drop the midi but then you are loosing all the effects. So either you commit to the sounds provided by the instrument or you have to forget most of the functionality of the instrument. For that $160 is just too high a price imho.

Oh, Cannot use your own samples?
What a bummer!

Edited my earlier post so here is the complete post.

:P Not that. If he wanted to start from scratch after having already a reputation with a company, fine with me.

I bought the NVA catalogue and had some questions only the dev could answer. Sent a mail to the NVA address and got no answer. Sent the same mail to the ISA address and still no answer. See my problem?

JRR has the Zynaptiq design Bundle at a good price but not the upgrade if you own 2 of their products?

I too was interested in the alternatives.. and found BlueArp. I haven't tried it yet.. but it seems worth a look, and it's free.

BlueArp is one of my favorites. And it is free. If you don't have it yet you need to get it.

Blue Arp has been on my list to try for a long time.

I am a bit confused as to midi arp VSTs VS riff generators VS chord progression/generative VST's and other Improvisational tools. There may be some overlap or functionality?

I suppose all are VSTi midi fx but a few may be stand-alone midi fx.
