I am experiencing a strange behavior of collective plugin and I was wondering if I am alone...
I am a registered user of waveform 8, running under windows 7 on my laptop. I'm either using native windows sound driver or ASIO4ALL with a confortable buffering (1024 or more samples).
I started to play with small projects, up to 4 MIDI tracks with collective instance on each track. MIDI clips are programmed using pattern generator for chords, bassline, melody, and drums are achieved via the step editor (by the way, thanks for these great tools).
After a short time of work in loop mode (sometime less than minute) collective seems to loose its sound program : no sound is comming out one instance (most often the drum instance, but I occasionally also experienced this with piano sound) while other instances keep playing. Reloading the sound program solve the problem but only for a few moment before sound stops again. I know this is not coming from the MIDI clip because I can see the collective vitrual keybord still illuminating played keys while it is silent.
I have tried several options regarding audio driver, I keep getting this behavior.
Any clue ?
Beside, I have one suggestion for devs : it seems to me that is would be nice if each collective instance could keep their browser filters as it was before you close the collective window in order to retreive these settings each tile you reopen collective GUI. For now, filtering is reset everytime you close/open collective GUI.
Thanks for help !
Collective becomes silent after short time

I was experiencing something similar, and when I switched from the ASIO driver back to my native driver, (in this case the Behringer UMC driver), the Collective sound cutouts stopped.
And I agree the filter/preset recall seems a bit strange. (Otherwise, I'm really enjoying Collective: great sounds, nice interface, really light on the CPU).

Well, had it happen again after about an hour of playing. Reloading the preset or resetting the device brings the sound back. (And it's only the instance of collective I'm playing that goes silent, the others keep playing). I'll send off a report and log.

There is at least one other discussion dealing with this problem, I had it too. Wolfram Franke is the man behind Collective, and he told me that he is aware of the issue and is trying to get to the bottom of it...he will!
