After contacting Tracktion and unable to get an answer which would solve the problem we decided to wipe Windows 7 and fit a SSHD.Reinstalled Windows 7 and Tracktion 7, PSP,Izotope and Waves CLA Signature set plugins all 64 bit.Everything is up and running and the CPU meter instead of Rocking around the Clock is stable at around 7 to 9am even with lots of plugins. We were told that CPU Load is shared by all the tracks which didn't offer a solution. It is also very fast.YOU CAN ALWAYS GET OUT BY PAYING.All I need now is my missing Master mix.W7 64bit, i7 8core, 16gb ram.

Sounds like it was a (Windows) configuration issue more than anything else - I'm running T7 from a 10k Western Digital Velociraptor (pretty old now) and my audio is all on a 7200 rpm 2TB drive and I'm not experiencing any slowdowns.
SSD's are great for general system performance though so they're always recommended upgrades for a spinning-rust PC.
Shame you couldn't isolate the issue since a format+re-install of the OS is the nuclear option and not really a 'solution' - still, if it works

Wish my solution had been so easy. I run an i7, and I wish I had stayed with Windows 7 when I had a tech guy put in my SSD. He gave me Windows 10 too, and now I have driver troubles with my interface which is not compatible with W10. But, I cannot keep my CPU meter from running at about 1 o'clock most of the time, it jumps around a bit, and I don't have a large mix or a lot of plug ins. It seems like I don't have good CPU useage.
