Cutting off initial recording signal

Trying to figure this out; it's driving me crazy. When I record with a pre-count click and come in on the beat, my initial signal is cut off. I'm not sure if it's a sample rate issue (I've tried both 256 samples and 512 samples) or a Time Adjust thing (click Input on the track and enter numbers in the Time Adjust area next to the Auto-Detect button.

I'm trying to record straight from my amp which has a USB jack going out and into my Mac Mini. I've tried tweaking several numbers in the Time Adjust area but to no avail. And I can't do an Auto-Detect because there's no way to create a feedback loop by plugging the USB cord back into the amp.

Any suggestions to get Waveform to record right on the beat? This is critical for overdubs as well, and it happens when I punch in; not just when I do a pre-count record.

What kind of delay are you getting? It sounds like you need to run the auto-detect to adjust for the round-trip latency correctly.
To do this, just place your microphone near your speakers and run the "Auto-Detect..." button. This should tell you what latency to use and you can apply directly from here.
