Hi,

while trying Zebra2, I loaded Zebralette presets into Zebra2. It sounds quite similar, but with the following differences:

- Output volume in Zebra2 will be more quiet, like 20% less

- Something fishy is going on with the LFO1 / vibrato. It mostly sounds a bit stronger and faster in Zebralette.

- It causes Zebralette to sound more "rich" or analog over Zebra2 :clown:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load Zebralette preset "HS Grand Entrance" into Zebralette and Zebra2
2. Disable the effects in both
3. Higher the Zebra2's output volume by 20% or so
4. Turn LFO G1 depth mod to 0% in both to be able to listen to the basic vibrato
5. Listen to the obvious difference in vibrato
6. Now put Zebra2's LFO1 Rate to 100
7. Listen to the identical sound now

Summary:
- LFO1 rate is set wrong after loading Zebralette presets
- Volume is to quiet after loading Zebralette presets

Thanks.

EDIT: Even more obvious with preset "HS Black Adder"

EDIT2: Some different problems appear while comparing "HS Brahmaputra" (Rate 10s seems to be different in the synths) and "HS Callisto" (rate + amp of lfo1 seem to be different)

EDIT3: On/Off states of effect1 doesn't seem to be converted, it is on always.

It's a different synth, so loading other patches is not supported IMO.

There is no warning message though.

Actually it's not THAT different. Zebralette is like Zebra with just one oscillator and fixed FX layout.

Loading 'lette's patches in Zebra IS supported (that was the idea, too - use 'lette as a learning tool, then you can expand later by loading its patches into her big sister :)). However it looks like some parameters are scaled differently. Urs?

Thanks for spotting these oddities, MacGyver.

There is no LFO rate parameter in Zebralette, so there should be no value for it being saved within the Zebralette preset's h2p file. But for some spooky reason a few presets have saved a value for it, and this value is then being recalled when it's loaded into Z2.
If you have copied the Zebralette presets into the Zebra2 presets folder, then the easiest fix would be to set the LFO rate value to 100 and then save the preset again in Zebra2.

I quickly checked the Brahmaputra preset, it looks like Zebralette is using the 1/4trip setting for the LFO, although it should use the 10s setting. It works correctly when being loaded into Zebra2.
I have no idea why this is happening.

Anyway, I'll add your findings to our bug database, maybe we can do something about it. Thx again.
