That's cool. I wonder what they're like... Are they cool? 'Cause I always pictured them as being kinda dicks... Anyway, you probably can't really give an honest answer in a public forum...Urs wrote:There'll be a meeting with them during Superbooth, I'll bring it up again.

Nah... honest answer: I don't need to talk to dicks. Experience with NI has always been very professional and respectful. I'm actually looking forward to put a face to a name tomorrow.NAD wrote:That's cool. I wonder what they're like... Are they cool? 'Cause I always pictured them as being kinda dicks... Hi Urs,
At the end of the video above, you mentioned something about doing work on the gradients/halo of the knobs for Zebra 2.8. Is that the same thing as the vector knobs? Could you clarify that a bit?

I'm quite exhausted now, but yes, it's about the vector part of the knobs. It's like adding what we did in ACE or Bazille, without having to render filmstrip images for it (so we can have different colours easily).rosschehayeb wrote:Hi Urs,

That's actually a great slogan/teaser for Z2.8 ("Can't wait for Zebra two point eight" or "Can't wait for Zee two eight")...Alexander_D wrote:Can't wait.... Zebra 2.8!
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

I'll second that. Also Repro-5. Really good GUI's. And the pads from Repro sound great. I'm sure there'll be a lot of happy faces on release. I wouldn't have expected it to be quite that costly though, to be totally honest. But, hey, fair enough for such a synth, i guess, especially considering Repro-1 as a mono synth should be expected to cost less in comparison.Whatisvalis wrote:2.8 looks beautiful.

I think, that Urs was speaking about the price of the bundle of Repro-1 and 5, that is the very good price for these two products. Hope I am correct. But I am happy owner of Repro-1chk071 wrote:I'll second that. Also Repro-5. Really good GUI's. And the pads from Repro sound great. I'm sure there'll be a lot of happy faces on release. So, what about Zebrify?Urs wrote:The basic concepts of Zebra2 will remain nearly identical in Zebra 3. There will however be fundamentally new concepts that have been missing in the software world, or just weren't ever intuitive. We have to yet evaluate if these concepts will work, but in my mind I can spin a whole universe of expressive goodness
Do you intend to release an FX version of Zebra3?
If so, do you plan to sell it with Zebra, just as now?
I, for certain, am ready to pay good money for an upgraded version of Zebrify that includes a good part of the mighty new features of Zebra3.
Or is it too early to discuss this part of the design?
