You are right, they use a pic of the Intellijel µFold hardware for the Softube plugin.hivkorn wrote:yep but the GUI is not the same that Softube deliver when you bought intellijel ufold 2 ..it's why i 'm asking

Gobbles simple. Install. Auth and update, uninstall. Done. Only us it for 2 softube plugin's. But I must say it has stopped me buying more.

Yes but that's what iLOk is so why have 2 license management systems? Especially if it is just to access the downloads, why do you need something that seems to run as a service just to access a download?mgw38 wrote:Gobbler is a license management system meant to manage license subscriptions. I also find it somewhat annoying that some companies force you to go through Gobbler for perpetual licenses as well. But you only need it to access the installation files. Why is it managing licenses if its on an ilok key.
Anyone use this or know about gobbler(which is also the weirdest name for anything).

You could download the installers directly from softube's site. They make it sounds like you have to use gobbler, but you don't really need to.

At least for the perpetual licenses I got from focusrite. Dunno about the subscription though.aMUSEd wrote:You don't?

I would prefer to have a single installer for all plugins where i can tick the ones i have like it was before, now i must download every single f*ck*ng plugin and install it separately.shidostrife wrote:You could download the installers directly from softube's site. Yes, you can download the product from the Softube, but you can't use it (longer) without the registration, and there you are directed to the Gobbler. If you really know how to avoid giving your iLok account password to Gobbler, please write it here.shidostrife wrote:You could download the installers directly from softube's site. I think you can't get around Gobbler anymore. I bought a Softube plugin in the Buy & Sell recently and it's been my first experience with the Gobbler app. I dunno - it seemed pretty breezy. Clicked "Install All" and it sorted everything out including uninstalling and replacing exising Softube plugins that weren't up to date. You aren't forced to install 32 and 64-bit anymore now too I noticed so that's a plus. But I do see the annoyance in having to deal with 2 interfaces (iLok/Gobbler) to get your plugins installed and working.
Probably the easiest system of all is SKnote... the file you download from your user area on their site is a customised DLL already authorised to you. Couldn't be more convenient.

Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

PSA: everyplugin are now accepting the Waves survey voucher so those $24 plugins are now $14.
EDIT: I take that back - the voucher equates to a $6 discount at checkout, I guess due to the already embedded discount. Still, it's better than the DK39S code.

I wish it was. Anyway, always when I try to register my Softube product, I'm directed to this Gobbler loop:Kypresso wrote:You have to give gobbler your ilok password?Harry_HH wrote:Yes, you can download the product from the Softube, but you can't use it (longer) without the registration, and there you are directed to the Gobbler. Yes, and you can probably use more than one coupon. But, it's only marginally better than buying them on waves.com.
