btw. is it possible to add another input for the freq-analyzer to match two signals?
the second signal could have another color. :tu:
Why not open 2 analysers?

I mean when 2 spectra all overlapping and thus hiding each other over time in an animated way, would that be useful? 2 separate spectra will be more easily comparable, no?

Because you can identify and remove faster overlapping frequencies when the frequency-responses are all in one instance ;-)

...perhaps with some transparency you could quickly see the overlaping frequencies. please look at span free from voxengo. this analyzer does it very well
cheers :tu:

+1. Extremely pertinent. I always use the one from MeldaProduction, precisely for this reason of accurately watch the overlapping frequencies. And the one from Voxengo is excellent too for that same reason.

Your works is great, Jo, for this built-in freq Analyzer. But it is true that an improvement to be able to watch up to four lines (at least two) would be VERY GREAT to definitely avoid the use of an external one.

No. Not really.

Thanks for the update, despite my criticisms, I do appreciate your work :tu:

This Analyser is a great addition! It can help visualize the effect of the Effects, anywhere in a Mux. I foresee many new front panels....

I use an analyzer to tune my field recordings into samples. This Analyzer scale divides the spectrum by octave with every line at a 'B' (31Hz=B0 to 16kHz=B9). I can load a recording, play a B, and quickly tune until the root and harmonics 'line up.' Another thoughtful MuLab detail (not in Melda or Span). And 'Maximize' is killer.

Wish you would just combine the filter graph and Frequency Spectrum Analyser in one :tu:

Nice work Jo, thanks much! :tu:

Hey Jo, how about building a small analyzer into the side panel?
Hook it to the master track. Make it show for the active track, if
you really want to get fancy. Could be optional, maybe a choice between
analyzer or oscilloscope.

Anyway, would be handy, not to mention a nice bump in neat factor.

Quick layout example for your convenience...

Just a thought...

About an embedded analyser: Thx for the suggestion, sounds like a great idea, but when i would implement such thing i want to do it from a technically broader perspective so that you can embed all kinds of things. There are related notes on the wishlist, but not yet to be expected in the very next versions, the main next thing still is time stretching and related aspects, that will be M8, working on it. Adding the Spectrum Analyser now (will be M7.4) is an organic intermediate version. Currently working on an improved version of the Spectrum Analyser.
