Hey Bungle
A lot of people have replied to your request trying to understand what you are trying to accomplish. I spend most of my time recording and editing live music performances so I don't understand the need for this feature but it sounds like you need a button to toggle the feature on and off to accommodate your workflow.
When dRowAudio offered a possible workaround "You can't at the moment but if you turn it off for an Edit, it will stay off." A Waveform (that's the name of the product you are maligning) user offered "Create a template with the feature turned off" it seemed to me that these were viable solutions unless you absolutely can't live without a toggle.
That said, could you point out where a Tracktion employee told you to "f**k off?" I missed that one. (f**k off is implied swearing done by you on a public forum BTW)
I have read your posts with some amusement as "BIG WEAKNESSES" were pointed out. You obviously haven't worked with the product and your meaningless fixation on one element is a reflection on you and your attitude problem. Don't forget to restart your meds.
Regards,
theoldguy

It is not 'their' forum - it is a forum for users but not a company forum as such. I am surprised you do not know this having used Tracktion since T1.bungle wrote:I never said tracktion developers told me to f**k off, a user did, and he called me a twat twice, plus a lot of other stuff, today im not intelligent enough and now i am a drug user with g rated ears.

You seem to be solely here to cause bad feeling from what I can see. Complaining that people use 'sexual swear words' - that is pretty standard from the forums I have seen, with the word 'twat' considered fairly mild and used in common parlance. You seem to object when people call you out and then you flounce, threatening to leave, accusing people of bullying you etc.
I stand by my comment about you being a troll.

Now it's really time to stop being any friendly to you, you silly twat, you.bungle wrote:
There is literally nothing that Tracktion can do other than the project screen (Which i never even liked) that Reaper can't do.
You most obviously have no f**king clue what the heck you are talking about, for crying out loud! Dang! That was some stupid clueless nonsense and a half! One wouldn't believe just how clueless you are!
Just for starters, Reaper does NOT at all support Melodyne ARA, which is more that just a biggie for anyone who's got the slightest of clues (using Melodyne in Reaper is a royal PITA - and wouldn't I know? ) - there's of course a lot in Reaper that Tracktion can't do, but your statement is just pathetically FALSE. Did I already mention that you have no f**king clue whatsoever?
And now please f**k off - no, really do! - we've really seen enough of you and wasted far too much time on a little clueless cryboy such as you are.

Never did determine whether this was Elvis or Elvira (Ah, the anonymity of the internet) but this individual has been promising to depart for days after a couple of pages full of devs and users trying to help:

Your annoying personality has motivated several normally generous and EXTREMELY helpful users to take issue with your negativity. We usually see one or two people a year who demand immediate response (ludicrous in its own right?) but you could be the front runner for the "Weenie Of The Year" award.
Bungle, if you are still trolling this forum, please take yourself seriously and honor your promise.

Are you from the 1930s or something? You sound like a pampered child, who is too used to having their own way, and can't deal with life when you don't. Get over yourself.bungle wrote:No you spend your time swearing on public forums, well done, you must make your family and friends so proud.chico.co.uk wrote:Personally, I don't spend my life telling other people I don't like software they're using / writing, ad nauseam. I just get on with doing things I like doing.
YMMV.
I told you to f**k off. Please do. But I don't work for Tracktion, or TSC. You're not a prospective customer to me, you're literally nothing more than an annoyance. I don't have to be professional, because this isn't a profession. It's an internet forum. You've shared your opinion, I'll share mine.bungle wrote: Oh and well done for pointing out exactly how much you are all going to hate any new users (Actually in this case old user that has probably been using it longer than any of you) who think that some things could be done better.
But best of all, well done for saving me the upgrade fee, Tracktion will not get a single penny more out of me until some of this behaviour (telling prospective customers to f**k off, seriously ?) is dealt with and the place is a bit more professional.
As it happens, we're lovely to new users here. I've little time for entitled, whining, cossetted little poppets who like the sound of their own moaning. If you want to engage with the community in a positive way, you'll be treated accordingly. If you don't, then personally I'm more than happy to treat you with disdain.

I know Bungle won't read this, and I have avoided getting into this bit of a pissing match because I don't care about his whining.
here is what I Do care about...I Am a newer user, I found Tracktion in November, switched to it from Pro Tools and I like it and its workflow very much. I upgraded to Waveform, and I like that too. I even helped in working out a few of the small bugs which I am sure will get ironed out.
But here is what prompted me to post. As a new user, I have found this message board indispensible, and I have gotten a lot of help here and every time I asked a question it was met with help and positivity. Many people here have helped me personally. This place and the people here, INCLUDING those at TSC, are professional, kind and helpful. You could learn a lot from them, Bungle.

He's still not happy and he still hasn't finished telling the world that he isn't happy, but he's now doing it on a more general forum.
