DarkStar, off topic, how did you create the animated gif?.../s~

I used LICEcap, from Cockos (Reaper): http://www.cockos.com/licecap/

Exactly right darkstar, this is how i did it and yes it is v11

I still don't understand what is meant by inertia. Inertia means that its motion cannot be changed, I cant imagine that being a very interesting addition. Could you explain what you mean by inertia, please.

A shame Shift can not be directly automated, but indirect means seems to be sufficient.
In MWobbler this can be done in a much more user-friendly way with the "MIDI follow" button.

I know, I know, but "MIDI" can do so moch more then "MIDI follow", etc. etc.

Too bad that in Melda's UI design there is no "intermediate". Either you go for "easy" mode or "WTF, are all this settings for?" mode.

I'm not complaining about the features. I love the fact that you can tweak nearly everything if you want to. But I still don't get it why many super cool and nifty features have to be so hard to use.

Hehe the problem is that what is supercool for one unusable crap for another :D. That's probably why 99.999% stuff on the market has just a few controls and bye bye :D (besides easier implementation of course). Yep, having every possible feature in an interface that would show you exactly what you want at that time, that's what we want :D. We'll have to wait for an AI for that though :D. And at that time there probably won't be a need for humans :D.

So true.

For those who care about tinkering Cockos created the custom actions and the bazillion of UI options. But that's also not for the average guy.

But getting back to the "MIDI follower", it may be crap for many but it's a rare feature. I know only of Sound Radix's SurferEQ to have it. So IMHO it's worth being more prominent and easier to setup for Melda plugins with frequence setting (like M...Equalizer). Or make it available only in the payed plugins. Just a reason more to buy your stuff :)

Another example is the dynamic mode of the multi-band settings. Way to complicated to set up a basic setting. It's a typical an exhibit of "by an engineer for engineers". ;)

Hmmm, I'm a little lost - MIDI follower is already there, so what is the problem?? If you are asking for one click solution, then I'm afraid this is far from interesting enough. You know, just routing MIDI is hard for many users (sadly) and in some hosts like Logic it's no surprise (sadly :D ).

It's only easy to set up in MWobbler.

Interesting enough to implement? Just copy'n'paste the code over. See examples for MEqualizer and MRingModulator where IMHO a good place is to add the "MIDI follower" button.

I don't mind if that feature is only available for the paid plugins *. But I do mind an easy workflow.

* That said v10 MFilter and MWobbler could be v11 MPowerEqualizer and MPowerFilter.

Hmmm, I'm afraid that won't happen, there's just no development time for something like that. You seem to imply it's just copy paste some code, I'm afraid it's VERY far from that... And the use is very limited. And it's feature duplication. Sorry.

Edit: What we hypotetically could do is something like Quick learn for multiparameters, but for MIDI... But again, there could be like infinite other possibilities people could ask then, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to open this door.

I had hoped it would be the case. But that's the odd thing in software. From the outside you cannot really tell how difficult it will be to implement.

True I'm afraid. I'm always trying to "black box" everything, so that the technology can easily be reused later, but in some case it just doesn't really work...
