I'm a great fan of MULAB and have no problems with midi, vsts recording etc but I cannot find any visual tutorials on editing audio. I do not find this to be intuitive.
Please can an experienced and patient MULAB user post video on deleting parts of a track,
time shifting a track,
reducing volume on part of a track
Thanks If you can Help.
I've seen all the current Videos on Youtube and the Mulab
DOCS but nowhere is it explained well.

I don´t think, there have to be a video on this:
Please can an experienced and patient MULAB user post video on deleting parts of a track...
Just click on a part to select it, rightclick the part > delete or just press the delete button on your keyboard...
...time shifting a track...
I don´t know, what you mean exactly:
a) timeshifting: select the parts to be timeshifted click and hold on the first one and move the mouse left or right...(for finer resolution choose a smaller snap value or turn off snap ( small toolbox under the compose window right hand side)
b) timestretching: not available atm, Jo is somehow working on an algorythm
...reducing volume on part of a track...
click on the part to select it and use the part tools under the compose window left hand side (where it says as well the part name)... the first dial beside the part name is for part volume...

Edit: for more detailed editing, right click an audio part and choose >Edit in Audio Lab<

Hope this helps

Ok turning the snap helps thanks.
However if I put 2 markers on a position on a track I still can't delete or adjust volume between the 2 markers.(The whole track goes)
I think I must be missing something here.
I use to use Kristal where the audio editing was straightforward. I know Mulab is a much superior DAW but I can't get my head around the editing. I've sussed the fade in/out but I need to delete and change volume on parts of a track. Help would be welcome. Regards maestroguy

You need to get your head around the different things you're looking at.

Track is just a container. It contains zero or more parts. You can set a track target for where the output of those parts goes (by default). You operate on the track content (i.e. parts) at "Compose" level. Right-click the part, select the operation you want to apply. Depending on the part, you will also get operations for it's content.

So parts also are just container - either audio, sequence or automation. (You can set a part target, too.) To edit the part content, you need to go into "Edit" mode (not "Compose" mode which works with tracks). Edit mode differs depending on what kind of part you're editing. For a Sequence part, you just select (using the mouse) the events you want to edit, then right-click to choose the editing operation. For Audio parts, it's similar - select then right-click.

Indeed "select, right-click" is the simple way to use MuLab throughout.

Split the track at the start and end point where you want to edit, then ONLY select that part and then do your edits/deletes, you can merge again afterwards if you want so it becomes a whole track again.

Ok I am now aware of the SPLIT function which allows me to delete a section of audio track Thankyou now I'm getting somewhere.

There is also a fade-in and fade-out just where the part's volume can be changed.
