Hi,
Reaktor 6 ensembles (patches) that output audio seem to work fine in MuLab. However, I'm having difficulty recording MIDI from one that generates notes. If I put a MuLab or Reaktor patch that generates sound after the patch that generates MIDI, I get audio. However, the MIDI notes are recorded. If I remove the sound generating patch and leave only the note generating patch--still no notes are recorded. Any ideas? How can the VST generate notes for another instrument in the same rack but not have those notes recorded when recording?
Thank you,

Can you clarify what you're asking that differs from this thread?

Sure, sorry for any confusion.
In the previous thread that you mentioned (now SOLVED), I was send MIDI notes from Pure Data into MuLab. Inside MuLab, I was using MUX patches and VST plugins (not including Reaktor). I wanted to record both the MIDI notes coming into MuLab and the audio generated inside MuLab at the same time. I was able to do this by recording the MIDI on the incoming track, routing that to another instrument track, and routing that to an audio track where the sound could be recorded.
Right now, I have a VST (plugin) inside a rack in MuLab generating MIDI. There are no MIDI notes coming into MuLab from an external source. The MIDI is being generated by the VST sitting inside a MuLab rack. However, I can't seem to record these MIDI notes. I know that MIDI is being generated because if I put a MUX patch under the VST in the same rack, I hear notes being played. I've tried to route the MIDI output of this VST to another instrument rack (like the audio previously) to record the notes there, but that did not work either.

OK, same approach as the other thread. Instead of the track for the incoming MIDI notes, have a track just for Reactor and pretend that's the source of the incoming notes. After that, try the same set up.

You have to use the event recorder for this: Modules > Event Processors > Event Recorder
This is the text from the Mudocs page:
This is the text from the Mudocs page:
Works nicely ... try itA typical example: Insert an arpeggiator in rack slot 1, an event recorder in slot 2 and a synth in slot 3. Now switch off the event recorder so it's only bypassing events. Setup the arp as you want. Now when you want to record the arp in a real sequence, switch on the event recorder, hit record in the transport and record as long as you want, then stop recording. A new sequence part with the rendered arp is added to the composition.
