Your first mistake is believing that creativity is dictated by the number of plugins you have installed.

Well this is a Reason related thread, so one should assume there will be a 85% Princess factor in evidence.

He's just jealous of all of our plugins. Hide your plugins people, he's coming to get your plugins. He's coming into your houses, into your bedrooms, and he's going to take your plugins.

Yeah, that's it.

Ok, where's my beer??????????

Slightly related: Reveal Sound just released Spire as a Rack Extension.

*EDIT: they just pulled it from the shop. It was pretty buggy! :o :hihi: :o

What the hell did they build it with - the IDT?
No CV. No Audio In for the FX?

I saw it this morning at the shop and there was a disclaimer at the bottom that they were still working optimizing the code. Wtf? Isn't that what beta testing is all about? Ironing out the bugs? No wonder it had an initial intro price of 59.

Maybe it doesn't dictate your creativity, but, it surely dictates the way you sound, to a degree.

I hate developers that treat paying customers like beta testers.

Funny thing is, i asked them if i could beta test the RE, was even willing to buy Reason Essentials just for that. They wrote me that they put me on the "list of beta testers". I haven't heard of them since, even though i was in contact with them earlier, and now they just released the RE. If i had to guess, then i would say they have a very small circle of beta testers. Might even just beta test internally. Some of the updates in Spire's history also seem to point to that, because there were some groundbreaking bugs in some of those, which were nailed out by following updates then...

I even came along some major bugs when using Spire, and i don't think those were ever reported by anyone, or fixed. I'm having a bit of a hard time reproducing those though, so, pinch of salt, and stuff.

Yeah, similar experience myself. I own the VST and know it pretty well, so I figured they could use a beta tester with prior knowledge of the actual product they were porting. 6 months ago their "support" said "sounds great - we'll let you know when we're beta testing - we'd love you to help!" Then... NOTHING. :hihi: :o :D

That said, looks like CV is still in the pipeline:

"Damn beta testers... they only cause work... don't think we need any.". :D

Anyway, sort of typical for Reveal-Sound. A bumpy start, and then it all gets even, with next couple of updates. :)
