Ha ha! Wow. This is one unhappy, miserable thread!
It´s like having stumbled into a damp cave full of bats, deep deep within the woods of the internet.
Yet, it all feels strangely familiar somehow. Have I been here before?

No, this thread has to be unique. It´s so unruly and wild in its constant back and forth. Yet, beautiful and fragile.

It really is a work of art!

Sounds about right, since your typical Reason fanboy lives on a diet of Swedish Guano

Yep. You see one max two dudes without real private life - trolling here and arguing with people posting every hour - ruining thread.

Bad. Mod should ban some people just because of passive torturing.

Kind regards

p.s. i just realized youtube is full of 9.5 beta videos with VST. UAD running in Reason. Dream is reality.

What amazes me is how you're a frequent poster there but don't use Reason.

I used to own Reason and Reason Essentials. Now i don't own either anymore, but, i'm surely still interested in Reason, especially now that they opened up for VST. Not sure if i really will get it, but, if Essentials goes on sale in their May madness sale, i will surely consider it, just to have a look what the VST implementation is like. I won't lie though, the workflow never really was for me.

How do Reason users feel about not getting VST3 support right out the door?

I take it they are happy to get any VST to begin with, but I have personally come to appreciate when a plugin is VST3 due to increases in CPU efficiency. Not all of my plugins are VST3, but I wish they were.

Yeah, glass half full I am sure :)

LOL! Yeah, there's always a dependable troll to ruin something. Sad, really.

Meh, doesn't bother me at all - and I suspect it won't bother most. Honestly, there are so few out there that only come in VST3 that most won't miss it at all. It's amazing how slow the industry took to adopt it (I think it's been out for what... 9 years)? The improvements are useful for sure, though. I'm sure we'll eventually see support for it - maybe in Reason 20. :hihi:   :D

:ud: Another 7 years for proper midi import??

I think now that the bottlenecks are fading fast from the operations of Propellerhead (ie the management) then we will see considerably more rapid developments. Once the 'protected species' (ie the lower level bludgers) are dismissed as well, it will be all systems go for the advancement of Reason.

For me I don't think MIDI import is important. Just as I don't care either way about VST, however I appreciate that its a REALLY BIG DEAL for some users. For me I would love to see better audio handling features in the sequencer.

The buyout of Propellerhead may be the one commercial takeover that Ive ever praised. There are good things on the horizon.

What I don't get is that SO MANY fanboys over at ReasonTalk (Propellerheads puppet forum since they closed the official one) were adamant that they didn't want nor care for VST, but now it seems almost everyone is gushing about it. Proof positive that those morons can be fed anything from Propellerhead in a release and the devoted cult members will go weak at the knees

What I don´t get:

- what does it give to you, spamming this thread with the same message over and over again... even the biggest idiot has already understood long time your vendetta against PH

- how a single person can blow up a 5 pages thread into a 40 pages thread... don´t you have any other hobbies???

- why in this forum I don´t find any button to mute unwanted posters...

Yes... I know, don´t feed the troll or better the trollin (is that the female form of troll??? don´t know :-) )
