Urs, just focus on the synth, nevermind these guys. Me, my man, I just wanna be rockin' that Run like hell hard sync lead on your Prophet synthesizer as legit as if I was Richard freaking Wright himself, you know what I'm sayin'? And all this while doing some of the Christian Lorentz fancy moves too, you know? And then, when I'd be playing some of the One of my turns chords to sad Roger's words, I'll be sure all the tearful sexy milfs in the audience, suffering in a quiet desperation of their dead marriages, are all mine. So when the show is over and I'm heading wherever the hell I'm heading, I don't go there all alone, you know what I mean, my brother Urs? For this I will pay you some nice green or give you your euro notes if you so much desire.
BTW, I've heard Howard Scarr is making banks for it. The guy is freaking amazing, he will make the most of it, surely.

Dunno, but "slopifying" envelope times is one of my favourite tricks for other synths. It can work wonders.Chris-S wrote:What about envelope timing? Did the Prophet-5 have consistent env times between the voices?EvilDragon wrote:That's the Slop knob.

Well, then. I guess there's no point in asking for per voice/per stage trim caps for the filters then. I guess I'll get over it.Urs wrote:My god guys... please let us finish this thing![]()
There is no per-voice or per-oscillator detune. There's just slop and the different oscillator models on the tweak page.
We can certainly put all of this in. But then we'd price it more like Diva than like Satin. Mostly because, if we add all feature requests, we'll end up with something that looks a lot more like Diva than whatever we're emulating.

Thank you for replying! Perhaps you're not supposed to say, though have you tried Repro-5?

Yeah beta is not out yet, I didn't try it. It's obvious there are pan trimpots if one watches Repro-5 related videos, though.

This one certainly won't be.AnX wrote:his answers are often contradicted by urs
Individual voices can be panned in unison through trimpots on the Tweak page.

I concur. No need to add too many features from diva, but I think this is one feature that could add more character for those pad sounds?Howard wrote:Dunno, but "slopifying" envelope times is one of my favourite tricks for other synths. The voices will have individual variances which are in line with our measurements. It's pretty good and no thrills.

The only thing I ask is that you do not copy the Prophet 5's polyphonic voice assignment exactly. There is something weird about it in that it sometimes note steals from voices that aren't the eldest. It used to annoy the hell out of me. I think it also used to retrigger the same voice when striking the same key - like a Juno. That's not as bad but I'm not so keen on that either.

On the bright side, this will be an 8 voice synth, so there should be less stealing going on overall.Synthbuilder wrote:The only thing I ask is that you do not copy the Prophet 5's polyphonic voice assignment exactly. We know, we know. But if you think _actual P5_ has per osc tune trimpots under the hood but doesn't have pan ones.Urs wrote:My god guys... please let us finish this thing![]()

The report-5 only needs to be like the original.
