Hi

I lately used mrecorder to record a song in the exact way it sounds like replayed in daw. I put it on the last position in Master track and activated only on play.

It turns out that those recordings contain crackles on some places:
Or more obvious :

It only sometimes is audible, but then pretty obvious.

I also tested mrecorder with extra introduced cpu overload, the result does not contain the pauses caused by overload.

So I wonder if maybe there is a little bug / imprecision in the "record while play" algorithm?

The crackles even seem to be not audible while daw replaying...

Thanks

In Lost World:

At 2:59

Real Heroism:
At 0:38

If I render in DAW, I cannot hear those crackles.... Strange.

Hi Hanz,

hmmm, I checked the soundcloud, but maybe I'm deaf, but I don't hear anything. Checked only the Lost world. What am I missing?

Hi, thanks for your time. Well, the crackles are not easily noticeable, I guess, if you did not do the song on your own :)

Anyway, I now think this has nothing to do with MRecorder, but with Renoise auto-mute feature (disabling plugins on silence), which kicks in too early. And that's especially audible, if you use an upwards compression, so very quiet parts will become louder.

From my side you can delete this topic, to avoid any further confusion.

MRecorder is a really great tool. The best recorder I know.

Hmmm, interesting, very well, I'm glad it is ok! And thank you!
