Hiya, new to the forum. I'm having trouble opening Tracktion 5, and it only started happening this morning. I was using it just fine the other night, and I haven't had any updates to my system between then and now. When I try to run it, the smallish loading screen with the Tracktion logo opens very briefly, with some loading text that says "initializing". Just as quick as it appears, it disappears, and nothing else happens. Task manager shows that the app doesn't run. I've tried updating my drivers, running the app in administrator mode, and reinstalling. None of these work. Has anyone else had a similar problem, or perhaps have some insight on what I could try to get back into this app?

I actually managed to resolve the issue on my own. By any chance if anyone else has a similar problem, what I did was transfer all my projects and plugins to some external drive, then used a hardcore uninstaller app to remove any redundant files or registry entries that could have caused any problems. After reinstalling from that, it worked just fine again... lol

Glad you got it sorted.
I don't believe there is much to clean with Tracktion, so this is probably overkill.
Should it reoccur it can be enough to rename the settings file.
I've had corrupt projects, or rogue plugins hang the whole program if your default is to load last project.
