I seem to recall it having quite a CPU hit.
Thanks
On my system it uses ~1,5% in Reaper (= of all available cores) while SDRR uses around 0,9% (in stereo mode), Decapitator uses roughly 1,1 and Graffio in Multiband mode with oversampling switched on and the Saturators and Exciters enabled for all three bands also uses approximately 1,5 - so it's not super low, but also not totally outof the ordinary here...

I wouldn't describe it as very subtle - I mean: sure, it's not a guitar-amp emulation, but compared to e.g. a console emulation it gets rather hefty rather quickly...Liero wrote:I really don't get this plugin.
Can someone elaborate how and on what you guys are using it on? Seems very subtle and underwhelming to me.
and since it sounds super-gorgeous, you could put it on every track...

Thanks jens guess I wasn't the only one with that question
I thought it might be more CPU hungry and have more latency than that.

Nope, that's today's sale price. You can get it for less if you have a customer voucher, and if you add the bx_greenscreamer for $9 you get a 20% bundle discount.rod_zero wrote:I see a price of $79 USD for it, it is lower loging in?
I'd say it's a good deal. One of the best distorto-boxes out there.
Cheers,
Eddie

Definitely not subtle in my opinion - but ofcourse it can be in very small amounts. Enjoy!

is it anything like Decapitator?
for a person who has Decapitator, and a wife who will stab them to death if they find out their husband has spent another weeks food money on a plugin - is it worth it? Does it tighten bass? how does it work... yes i'd demo but i simply have NO time over the next few weeks.

I love Decapitator - however I think this one is a lot more flexible and sounds a lot better - sorry about that and apologies to your wife...sqigls wrote:is it anything like Decapitator?

Look for demos of the HW unit in youtube, there is one where they compare Elektron analog heat, Elysia Karacter, Thermionic culture vulture and the Vertigo. Its impressive how good the Vertigo sounds.
Edit: I found it

Excellent magic plugin that does not sound like a plugin. It is no brainer for current price even with no voucher.
