I've got this as well. A rescan fixed it for me..maki wrote:maybe just force the rescan of the plugins in the preferences? Or reselect the plugin path?turbo_kev wrote:Cheers Dom
that cured the audio engine problem
but if I load in any of my old projects
I get a load of plug in is not installed errors
but if I create a new project and load the missing vst´s they all load in
so they must be installed
its mostly arturia plugins like spark mini v etc etc

Can you try to isolate elements which are introducing issues?
GOOD NEWS! I had been trying what you suggest with no luck. But I thought give it another try and found the culprit. I have an EQ called KarmaFX Equalizer (http://karmafx.net/). I have been using it to kill the 20-31Hz bass range. As soon as I remove it everything is fine! Its on most of my tracks so seemed like I was doomed.
Its not essential I can use something else so Im back in business. I could hug everyone right now. Sending you all a virtual forum hug
Its Donationware so Im not sure how well supported it is. Do you think its worth opening a BW support ticket to let them know?

So you see in this screenshot it has many bands. If you click on the LO MID HI buttons it zooms in and gets even more precise for each band. I quite like it for getting surgical on certain frequencies.
So for bass I can kill the 20Hz rumble but leave the rest at 0. Sometimes I use it on samples to kill certain freqs without touching others. For example if there's a little bit of white noise or whatever.
Like I say its not essential and I can use something else. Its just something I always had in my tool box so I have been using it. It was no problem on V1.3 or V2 but on 2.1 it goes absolutely nuts.

Is there a quick way to just check out the new content (devices. Drum machines etc) I tried searching 2.1 in the browser but it didn't bring anything up (always good to tag new content/presets by version)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Cool, can you change time signatures now? No? How about accurately tracking raw audio in a project with tempo changes? Still no? Can we get a moratorium on new toys until you actually work out the basic functionality of a DAW? Bitwig has the nicest interface and best modulation options of any DAW out there, but there are still glaring omissions in core functionality that should have been addressed before it hit version 1.0, and the continued failure to address those is honestly starting to piss me off.

Why did you buy a DAW that has not got (and never promised) a function you need when there are so many alternatives that do?
It would be like my buying Live and then slagging it off for not having the core functionality of in clip editing....
Hopefully it will come, but it wasn't promised (unlike some other stuff we are all still waiting for) so don't hold your breath or get angry....get a cheap second DAW like Reaper (personally I use Studio One) for when you need this, we are a still some way from a 1 DAW solution I think, and I can think of a dozen things more important to me that I would prefer to see implemented before time signatures....(see top 5 fracture request thread, everyone has different ideas about what a core feature is)

no 3rd party VST's load
quitting the program does not work, have to force quit
pressing OK after selecting presets in Drum machine freezes up the program
and that was from playing with it for only 15 minutes or so..
i can't help but wonder how this got released

Please can you give us useful information? Like what is your operating system? What's your processor? What are your plugins? Do you have a SSD? Can you reproduce all those issues always? Do you have an anti-virus causing troubles? And so on...WXLF wrote:no 3rd party VST's load

2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
Sierra 10.12.3
yes, Solid state drive
no anti-virus
built-in output 44.1khz
pressing ok after selecting the drum machine preset froze up about 3/5 times. which has never happened in other versions of bitwig 1.x or 2.0
