MDrummer large - loop change by velocity change doesn't work?

MD's terminology can be a bit confusing. For example 'velocity' can refer to overall 'velocity' of the rhythm in Rhythm Editor settings, or the velocity of a single drum hit (set in the Loop Editor), or the velocity you set in your DAW midi editor for a specific midi note when using the MIDI command method. Another confusion is what is meant by 'loops'. The keyboard keys in Rhythm Editor (or DAW editor) are loopboxes (containers for loops). Each loopbox can contain many loops (although the factory 'beat' loopboxes usually contain just one loop). If a loopbox contains more than one loop MD uses the velocity you set for the loopbox to choose within it which individual loop to play. Looking at MD's default startup rhythm, you'll see that all the 'beat' loopboxes have only one loop (indicated in the 'index' panel to the right of the keyboard)...now click on a 'break' loopbox...you'll see that each 'break' loopbox contains 24 loops. Click on index 4 (loop 4)...you'll see in the LOOP EDITOR title bar "triggered by velocity around 18". So for any note (=loopbox) in your DAW midi editor it's velocity will home in on a particular loop. If the loopbox has only one loop then velocity won't change anything.
If using SONG mode rather than DAW MIDI commands, the 'index' setting equates to this velocity setting in DAW.
Hope this helps.

Hi goldglob,
yes I was referring to MIDI command method.
"Looking at MD's default startup rhythm, you'll see that all the 'beat' loopboxes have only one loop (indicated in the 'index' panel to the right of the keyboard)"
At the moment I cannot find index panel while I am at work having only the pdf manual here. I look for it this evening.
"Hope this helps."
Yepp! Thank you very much, it helped a lot. (Yesterday I was going mad as I could hear not any difference when changing velocity

Ok, so is it solved, or is my help needed?
From a quick review it seemed to me that you simply need to disable Random loops.
