Hello,

I understand how to adjust the different parameters of a DIVA template. But, how do you program DIVA to change its parameters in real time when playing something on a MIDI keyboard controller??? For example, let's say I want to program the attack of a patch to automate through time.

Either use some modulation (within Diva), or use host automation. Refer to your host's manual to see how exactly it is done in your host.

Thanks. I know how to automate within my host, Logic Pro X. I want to do it within DIVA. I can't really find anything in the DIVA manual regarding it either.

You can midi learn the attack time to a knob on your controller.

You can not link the attack time to DIVA's LFO, there is a limited set of destinations.

Can you please explain to me what exactly is modulation in DIVA? I think I may be confused as to what it is exactly. Is it comparable to automation within a DAW host?

Don't you mean RTFM?

I read the manual. There are short examples of how to modulate but no description of what modulation actually is. Which was my initial question. I'll check the manual again.

Yes, it's comparable. Both change VST parameters over time.

A great place to learn how to program Diva is Youtube. There are several videos of people crafting a sound and talking about why they do what they do. This video on LFOs in Diva would be a great place to start.
