Here's my request for the possibility of a 32bit version of the Cocoa Mac rewrites. I've read some previous threads and understand there is some compatibility problems with some plugins (not showing a GUI, only a white box)

Regardless, it's something I would use and appreciate. Working on the Mac has a lot of upsides but plugin compatibility is not one of them anyways!!

I have many VST's that are 32bit only and wish I could keep working in 32bit 7.1+ and beyond.

Thanks,
Bobby

P.S. I have several DAW's working at 64/32 bits and have seen the white box problem but more plugins work here than do not and I lose some either way (going to 64 or staying at 32)... YMMV.

Have you tried 32Lives? It wraps user-selected plugins to work in MuLab Mac 64-bit. Nice specialized tool, and has a demo.
Similarly, BC Patchwork enables AU chaining. I demo'd the former & use the latter (it loads a 32-bit AU too)

Thanks, I own it.

The Windows version of Mulab lives on at 32 bits. The developer of Mulab has stated his reluctance to provide a 32 bit Mac version is mainly compatibility with plugins.

Yet there are still DAW's providing both nevertheless. :tu:

I can appreciate the choice to limit his time managing backward compatibility within OSX versions, and to spend his time on more exciting features! Even Logic limits its compatibility.
Personally, I prefer using a specialized tool for my own idiosyncratic needs (like Patchwork for AU plugins) because it's simple and stable.
