I kinda like sample libraries, but too many can be too much, so I'm looking at those that are really worthwhile. Some of these $99 deals are stunning. If you know their normal prices, even sale prices, you can get the best libraries at one third or less.

The only thing that is slowing me down on this deal is that I already have a whole lot of virtual guitars. As in there are guitar players who don't own as many guitars as I have. Sigh. But it still looks good.

VSTBuzz does have sales at less than $99.99, I've bought a few of them. This one however is similar enough to other stuff I have that I rarely use. I don't do soundtracks. So it doesn't really grab me. I could maybe see it for EDM though.

I find the problem with these "buy 3/4/5 for the price of 1" deals is that I often only want 1 or 2 instruments anyway, and then it's not that great a deal. When I started adding the things up that I actually wanted in the Wave alchemy deal it was less than $50, so no point spending $99 then.
And with Acousticsamples I already have Sunbird, and the other 2 I'm much less interested in, so no point buying that either.
I much prefer the deals where 1 instrument is reduced 50% or more.

I have yet to find a really bad deal from them. The guitar bundle seems like a no-brainer and I might just pick it up.

I've got $50 burning a hole in my pocket and am debating between 2 very different purchases - Sonokinetic Ostinato Strings or Reveal Sound ReSpire. I have NI Session Strings, so am not sure if Ostinato gives me much more than that. After Propellerhead announced that Reason will now support VSTs, I told myself there is no reason to purchase Rack Extensions any more, but I don't own Spire and $59 seems to be a cheap way to get it. Any thoughts regarding this very difficult decision would be appreciated!

PA sent out an email May 1 detailing what and when all the sales would be; the lone exception was the VSC3 being the secret Mother's Day item.

Very apples and oranges. The Ostinato Stings are quite unique, not something that is similar to Session Strings imo. Almost a niche product. They also have a bit of a learning curve. I would suggest to go through the videos.

I could not live without Spire.

I've just scratched the surface with Ostinato Strings but, FWIW, I found it really useful on the one project which called for it. There's a good video tutorial/demo somewhere -- either their website or YouTube.

As for me, AcousticSamples Sunbird is my favorite acoustic electric and OrangeTreeSamples Modern Nylon my favorite classical acoustic.

It's my preferred guitar for strumming. Very easy to strum your own pattern, and most importantly, it sounds quite realistic.
For picking I think Orangetree's steel guitar sounds better, but their strumming engine is just not as easy to get convincing results from.
