Hey
I'm an MXXX Core and Creative Bundle owner, and I'm thinking of upgrading to the full version of MXXX and then selling my Creative Bundle license. However, I've noticed that quite a few of the individual plugins have far more presets than their MXXX counterparts. So I tried exporting the presets (just tried it out initially with MWobbler and MGranularMB), created a presets file, and then imported them into their respective module in MXXX. All the imported presets show up, but when selected they do nothing. How do I get the presets from the individual plugins into their MXXX module counterparts? Can anybody shed any light on this please?

(a) Mwobbler - I have looked here and both MWobbler and MXXX/Wobbler have the same set of 272 presets. For one of your own, you should be able to save it in MWobbler then load it in MXXX/Wobbler. No need for Export / Import.
(b) MGranularMB - multiband presets will not load in MXXX (or just load the first band?). But you can copy the settings for a single band into MXXX/Granular using the Copy and Paste buttons:

Thanks for your reply DarkStar. Well I don't know where my Wobbler presets were before, but after importing the presets I exported from MWobbler and finding they didn't work, I ran the v.11 installer again (quicker and easier than individually deleting all the presets) and lo and behold you are right - the same 272 Wobbler presets are there. Oh well. So if a module in MXXX has less presets than it's individual plugin counterpart, that's because it's a multiband version of the plugin, and these presets can not be opened by MXXX? Yeah, I see now. And it seems that there's quite a discrepancy between the number of presets in the multiband individual plugins and their MXXX module counterparts, with some of them having around 100 presets more. So I need to decide if all those presets are worth more to me than the money I will get for selling my Creative Bundle license. I very rarely open the individual plugins since I got MXXX Core though. Thanks again.

The most important thing is that MXXX does NOT include the multiband plugins. It includes the basic building blocks - chorus, delay, reverb... and you can easily build the multiband stuff from them (plus stuff way more complex), but the multiband plugins themselves are not inside it. Copying settings from the multiband plugins to MXXX quite works, but it may not copy everything, some things may be completely different etc. So MXXX is there if you really want to be creative, but not necessary effective, since you are likely to program stuff from scratch, while the creative bundle plugins are in a way "ready to use". (MXXX also has lots and lots of active presets, more like separate plugins, but these are certainly different)
